     "Banding"

I posted a photo of Luke and I. It wasn't awkward or in any line of that word. It happened when we were at the backstage, changing clothes. It just happened that he was behind me and when I said, "Hey, smile." I was surprised that he stood up and did the silly facial expression. It was actually just my silly pose. Then he walked off because we were called at the set as well.

"Alright so we've come to this idea. Calum and Michael recorded a song and it soun-"

"Without even telling us?" Luke, for the first time that I've been with him and in this band I saw him cut our manager off, "so this is what its all about? Secrets within the band? Secrets from Ashton and I?"

"Luke," Calum interfered, "we weren't even sure about it. It just happened. Michael and I were at the room and you two had your breaks. Ashton were at Australia with family and you too. So stop the tantrum around." He was the bestfriend so I could say that it was just normal to say that.

"As I was saying," our manager continued. You know what I love about our manager? With whatever our attitudes could be and were very unpredictable he'd just brush it off and continue with the brilliant ideas he had, "Cal and Michael made a record, its called "I Can't Remember" and it sounded so good! It was great!," he looked so happy about it and I was too but when I looked over to Luke. He was staring dead serious at us and to wherever his eyes landed.

"You," our manager pointed at Luke, "and you," then to me, "you'll be having a collaboration of the same song. Since both of you have beautiful voices your audience, also known as 'the fangirls'," he quoted, "would be curious what your voice sounds like if its collided."

"We're gonna upload Cal and Mike's by the afternoon."

     So it started.

Luke and I settled at the long legged chairs in the studio that covered with glass walls and a wooden door. We sat and in front of us were separate condenser microphones with vocal pop-filters.

We wore the headphones and after a little while the beat started once we were both settled on the seat and not in less than ten seconds I heard Calum first. The beat goes on and after a while Michael was already on. I peeked on Luke, he was intently listening to it and his eyes were attached on our song book. The book we always brought with our hand written lyrics but this time it was printed out.

'It must've been good cause I can't remember'

It was finished. It was real. It was great and it sounded kind of punk-rock. Like really. I look for the two dorks and did two thumbs up and said, "It was rad!!!"

Now bringing myself into the studio again I found Luke reading the lyrics and probably collecting ideas as what he always did. "What you've got?"

I shrugged, "Nothing. You?" I replied he then titled his head and said, "Let's give it a try." He told them to start the instrumental.

Pretty girl what's your name what's your number / I've got the keys to my dad's yellow hammer/

After a few beats he started singing. He sang like the way Calum did. But then an idea popped to my head. A common idea. "Luke, can we just start over? I've got an idea."

     "What idea?" he asked.

"Just start over, can you?" without complaining which I was not comfortable about because I was used to the Luke that's always irritated. He told them anyways.

[ Luke's bold; Ashton's within the parenthesis ]

Pretty girl what's your name what's your number (number) / I've got the keys to my dad's yellow hammer (yellow hammer) / there's a party you can come if you wanna / (go tonight) / alright / (see you later)

"Alright, that's good!" Luke said. The happiness in his voice was present. That made me smiled, "can we do that again?!"

"Yes of course!" I said with my dimples showed and my eyes went so small.

"Can we just do whatever we like and signal me if I should stop or what and vice versa." When the beat started his head was dancing with it. Okay, I assume the Luke I've known for years was back and I was glad he was.

Pretty girl what's your name what's your number (number) / I've got the keys to my dad's yellow hammer (yellow hammer) / there's a party you can come if you wanna / (go tonight) / alright / (see you later) / wrapped up late took a minute but I found my mates / she was there acting cool (so I made her wait) / wasn't long couple songs til I headed her way to say (damn, you look amazing) / last night what a blur (woke up lying next to her) / last night made a mess / (does it get better than this) / phone ringing from the bar 25 texts and a call from mom / it must've been good cause I can't remember/

Then the bridge and the chorus came and suddenly we were thinking the same thing. We harmonized our voices and it sounded so good. We didn't make it that punk-rock. Its kinda lower and calming but the beats was still the same as Cal and Mike used.

We were doing a really good team today. His voice was lower and I was doing random sounds. Depends on the lyrics. Like to that one 'so I made her wait' I did that as a sarcastic one and that one with 'damn, you look amazing!' on Cal's it was kind of hyper to the part of 'Damn' so I made it a little sweeter.

Bro where's your shirt? / (Oh shit what the hell happened last night? I got the biggest headache) / Yeah I need an aspirin my head's killing me. Who's that girl from last night anyway?/

At the last part we did just enjoy the recording with all those second voices and all stuff that we were both dancing along with the beat because it was fun.

"It turned out that I was in every curse and all those dirty little secret thing lyrics." I told Luke as we walked out the studio. He laughed. His dimples showed off.

     Atlast.

"You know mom." he said smirking.

"All too well." I said in between giggles.

"Heeeeeeey! Its kind of a wrap!" Michael told us and did high fives with both of us and Cal did fist bumps.

"That's a wrap Michael, no need to re-record it. It was great!" our manager said.

Luke and I turned our gazes to each other then high five and said, "We're cool."

"We're cool like... no hard feelings?" I asked and he never said anything.

"Hey," he turned around, "like give me some hints? You don't want me to sleep well, do you?"

     He didn't say thing.

-irwindipity: finally! A new chapter! Im so sorry. I hope you like it and I really want Ash and Luke to have a collaboration of 'I Can't Remember' :) Have a great day!
