A N N E M A R I E I R W I N
Ashton brought a woman in the house last month. He didn't even gave us a warning or a text message. How could he just walk home and say 'Hi mom, I've got the derps and Sarah.' I was so clueless about this girl. I've never saw her, even in photos. Never been mentioned, like ever.
But here she was, snuggling Ashton to death earlier and now in her shorts and a top that Ashton brought. At this generation, these kids were unpredictable, drama queens and the most rebel ones. Although Ashton was never been one this girl beside me, I could feel, that this time she's a short-time rebel. She was confused as I was on my age. She was 22, she said, once that we talked. She acted very modest, very formal to talk to. Or maybe she was just shy or trying to impress me.
"How is everything going on with Ashton?" I asked. As she helped me to cook barbeque on sticks for lunch. She flip the sticks and it made a hiss, a sound of burning flesh. The smoke started to increase as she fan them.
"He was very glad to see your family again and his band mates get along so well ma'am." she said then turned to me to smile. "He was fond when I caught him staring, silent by himself earlier."
"The guys are lovely and nice..." I leaned closer to her and she leaned over too,"And dumb." I laughed, she did too, harder than I expected. She was crazy.
"What are you laughing at huh?" Ashton caught her from behind. She effortlessly loose herself to his chest and he hugged her.
"Something that your mom and I only knows." Sarah stated and we both smirked. We haven't had a moment like this, only talking and laughing, without a doubt and fear in between thin lines. I knew deep inside her. She was afraid.
"I should find that out then huh?" He tickled her from her waist and kissing at her neck. I've never seen my son as happy and as careless as this before. Careless in a way that he wasn't afraid anymore if someone who would see him, them, he just didn't care anymore. And the fact that I was infront of them, he knew something that I knew when this day started.
"Stop!" she shouted.
"Ashton!"
Another one, "Nooooo!"
And then, "ASHTON...." she laughed in between words, "FLETCHER" she was even struggling to pour those words out because of the pain and the eerie laughter that tickling could brought to us, "IRWIN I SWEAR TO GOD!"
"Don't even bother son." I said and tapped his shoulder.
"The barbeque's burned!" then he stopped and freaked out. He was circling around, looking for something. As if a house got burned or something. Its just the meat.
Both Sarah and I looked at him and said, "So gay."
He stopped short and smiled. "Looks like you have a partner in crime now huh mom." he said and put his arms around me.
