S A R A H

"How are you babe?" He asked. Its been a very long time since he called me it. Its been a long time since he called.

He just finished washing his face, ready to go to bed.

"Not much." I respond, shrugging, then walk downstairs with my phone and headset on. I wanted something to eat but I have no idea what.

"What you been up to?" He asked as he put his headphones on. He likes headphones. The sound of the music in it is pure and loud, and he likes that. I once tried it, when they were on a practice. I thought I might find myself wearing one. He let me used it, to past the time with my own music playlist. He gave me his phone though and scrolled through his playlist. His music was flawless; it has Guns n' Roses, Greenday, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, Good Charlotte, Black Veil Brides and many other bands.

"I don't know. Not really." I respond with my phone at the island that separated the kitchen and the living room. He didn't say anything so I proceeded to the sink to wash my glass and take my phone after.

"We're not gonna talk this way Sarah Antoinette. Like tell me how's your day. Like oh Sam and I went out and saw this big fish at the ocean or... Or...," he said, we are going to have an argument again. I can see it coming. "Or the three of us have had dinner tonight at house and Ace let wash the dishes or Sam is going to have a sleepover because she was kicked out."

"Are you done?" I asked. "Ashton I'm not in the mood to talk to anybody else today okay. Or to you, I'm sorry."

"What happened? Is there something wrong? Tell me." He asked.

"Questions should never be answered by another question." I went to my dark room. Not the literal dark with black atmosphere but the dark room that photographers uses. I turn the red lights on.

"Well, I'm done. Now you want me to come over?" He asked and sat up.

"Are you in England? London? Paris? Or anywhere near me?"

"No."

"Then how are you gonna do that? Don't. They wont let you." I said and put the photos at the water. "Besides, it'll cause you sleepless over nights if you're at the other side of the world. You're on Asia tour, right?"

"Well, yeah." He respond, and I could hear by his answer that he shrugged.

"Don't risk it. Not everything is worth risking for."

"You are worth risking for. At least." He said.

I stare at the photo that hangs at the wall across me. It was Ashton, we were at Australia, at their house, in his room when I took my camera out from my suitcase. He was asleep, hands were intertwined under his cheeks and lips was zipped.

He was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And at this time, even I don't even fathom what he was saying because my focus wasn't on him I still try to gear this relationship up. This is worth risking for. He is worth risking for.

He didn't know about that photo and it will forever be my secret. I have it on a wallet size too.

"Sarah, I am worried about you." That snapped out of my ears.

"Don't be. I'm going to be busy with these photos so I'm going to have a distraction. Gonna send you these shots later. You better go to sleep though." I said and just right after I said that he yawned and said, "no, I'm not tired." He even shook his head.

"I want to know how those things works." He said making an excuse.

"I'll show you when you get back. When are you coming back?" I asked. It was May and probably his sister would be graduating high school next month. "Isn't your sister graduating for high school? I'm glad she survived."

"She will and I guess I have to come home for that. Atleast try." He said and rolled over, his head by the pillows.

I was taking the photos off of water and hangs them by the string and put a clip on the corner. "Isn't that Ace?" He suddenly asked. He was crunching his nose and was smiling wide to his ears while he dangles his arms around my shoulder. I took it this afternoon when mom had a party earlier.

"Where?" I asked, frowning and look at the hanging photos.

"From your right. He seems like he's with you all the time. Doesn't he have a family?" I hope Ace won't be a problem for us (again) because if anything I want him and Sam to be my bridesmaids on my wedding day.

"Oh, he had." I started. It is story time. I guess this is the right time to tell him everything about Ace and I.

I went out the dark room and proceeded to my room to only find my lonely bed and white sheets. I curled with it and started to talk to Ashton. "We were orphans."

"What did you just say?" That statement made him sit up, "Its not joke time Sarah. I'm serious."

"I'm not even kidding. The reason why Ace and I were so close was because we grew up together in an orphanage." Ashton calmed down and get his sheets up too to his chest, "We were like five when we left there or we were found. I didn't know." I feel like my heart was wrenching into million pieces.

He has no reactions. So I continued. "Ace was adopted first by the couple who couldn't have a baby that luckily owns a printing company that Ace inherited right now."

"Where are they? Are they dead? Oh my god!" He exclaimed.

"Unfortunately, they are. But Ace is strong enough to stand by himself so here he is. His legitimate parents by the paper died because of being old. They were like fifty when they adopted Ace. Since he is rich now he could call me and kept in touch. I was seven and Ace was nine, he asked for the orphanage's telephone number and called me daily. He didn't tell me about calling. I was just surprised when Nana said Ace was on the phone. At first by the night he left, I thought I'd be sad but he always dropped calls at seven in the morning and seven in the evening. And its still the same, he drops by everytime he has time."

"You are sleepy Ashton." I said and suddenly I heard someone's psst! "I think someone's calling you."

"No, no one's calling me. I think its from your room." He said.

"Don't try to scare the shit out of me. It isnt." I landed my foot by the floor. It was cold and did footsteps towards the window and opened it. There was no one.

Just when I was turning around Ace scared the shit out of me that I nearly hit him with my phone. "Oh my god. Don't do that again! What are you doing here?"

"I'm here, the cupc-"

"Who is it?" Ashton asked.

"Oh my god you're talking to Ashton. I'm leaving." Ace said and taking steps away from me but I caught his arms.

"No. Stay. We were just talking about you." I said and lead him to the chair. "Its Ace. This is so cool. Have you eaten these?"
