Movie Night

The first thought that went through Jason and Percy's minds when deciding to host a movie night was 'we have to get Nico to invite Will'. (Okay, actually it was 'Hercules or the Little Mermaid' but the previous thought was a close second.) Nico and Will had been inseparable for five months, ever since Nico spent those days at the infirmary, and Jason and Percy were confident that they could pull off Mission Solangelo.

Leo burst in, carrying several bags of snacks, and Piper followed afterwards with drinks and more food, both having arrived early to help set up the beanbags and cushions in the Poseidon Cabin and to check on the current status of the mission. Annabeth had less faith in them, although she admitted that it wasn't because of the match but because of the matchers, whilst Calypso was still getting her head around the two boys thing, but Leo and Piper were adamant that they could do it. Taking about Solangelo was one of the times when you could tell who Piper's godly parent was. She loved her OTP more than life.

"So?" Piper beamed expectantly. Leo waggled his eyebrows, causing Jason to shove him. Jason hated any mention of what might happen if Nico dated Will. If it wasn't the wholesome, innocent image in his head then he didn't want to think about it.

"It wasn't as hard as we thought," Percy admitted. "He said no but Will was there and he said he would drag Nico along."

"So he shows up with Nico and we ask him to stay." Piper nodded. "Never thought I'd say this but that was smart."

"Annabeth must be rubbing off on him," Leo announced dramatically with an offended gasp. "You'll be a spotty nerd before we know it!"

"I'm sure you'll welcome me to the club," Percy responded. Leo opened his mouth to retort when there came a knock on the door.

They grew needlessly excited to discover it was Annabeth and Calypso. Annabeth raised an eyebrow at their fallen faces.

"Don't look too excited to see us," she said. Percy slung an arm around her shoulders and lead her to one of the beanbags in the corner.

"Sorry, Wise Girl, we're waiting for-"

"Will and Nico, I know. Don't you think you're both a little... over-invested in your cousin's love life?"

Jason mimed a spear through his chest. "As a co-president of the Solangelo Fan Club, I am mortally offended. Also, Percy was Nico's non-existent love life for a while so it's only fair he helps create a proper one for two dorks who are clearly head over heels for each other."

"You don't even know if Will likes guys," Annabeth pointed out.

"Au contraire, mon ami." Leo shook his head. "We don't know if Will doesn't like guys. Optimism."

For once in her life, Annabeth let it go. In fairness to them, she did genuinely think Nico and Will liked each other but she didn't approve of their increasingly ridiculous and dangerous schemes to force the pair to it. It was largely because they kept nearly burning down parts of Camp in their attempts, as well as Annabeth believing that they should leave the two to it. Obviously, the Solangelo Fan Club couldn't do that.

A few rhythmical taps at the door and Percy sprang from his beanbag. Will was getting carried away and ended up knocking the first few lines of the national anthem before Percy flung open the door with a suspiciously exuberant expression.

Will stood with a hand on Nico's shoulder as the short Italian muttered something about how "one would have sufficed, William" with Will wearing his usual, sunny grin. Percy blinked in surprise at Nico letting someone touch him but hurriedly got over it. Nico had been training himself to get used to touch and Will was very physically affectionate. It was different between them anyway. If Percy had so much as dared to brush against Nico...

He shuddered to think.

"Will, Nico!" Percy winced at his own tone.

Nico quirked an eyebrow. "Perseus."

"Come in," Piper called from inside, saving the day not for the first time. "Will, why don't you join us?"

"I wouldn't want to be a bother-"

"No bother at all!" Percy ushered them in. "Right, Nico?"

Nico glowered at him in away that made his friends flinch but Will rolled his eyes.

"Stop trying to scare everyone, Di Angelo."

"I'm not trying; I'm succeeding."

Will scoffed. "Good luck on your quest to be the gay, emo cousin."

Percy was shocked at that. He turned to Nico, who was wearing an expression of disdain given away by the flash of laughter in his eyes so fast that Percy almost missed it.

"He knows?" Jason voiced Percy's question as Will and Nico flopped onto a pile of cushions, which Jason and Percy had purposefully left as the only space available for them sit.

"Of course he knows," Nico stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world and not a secret he'd been desperately trying to hide from people for years. Only the Seven plus Reyna had known so Percy was internally screaming at Nico being comfortable enough to tell Will.

"You're not homophobic, are you?" Jason asked, narrowing his eyes.

Will snorted. "Yes, Jason. I, who has been out as bisexual for three years, who runs the Queer Demigods Club at Camp, who has virtually no straight siblings, who listened to his father rant about his ex-boyfriend for hours on end the last and only time he visited me, am homophobic. You've caught me."

Jason had the decency to look embarrassed whilst Nico was gazing at Will like he hung the moon for a brief moment, which Percy spotted, before he snapped himself out of his reverie.

"What are we watching?" Calypso asked.

"We're going to watch the Little Mermaid," Jason explained, "and Hercules because Nico's never watched it and it was too good of an opportunity to pass."

Nico frowned. "What's Hercules?"

Will's grin widened. "Oh, this is going to be fun."

After both movies were finished, accompanied by terrible sing along, Jason and Percy high-fived at a job well done. Nico was curled up half in Will's lap with his head buried in the blonde's chest and a look of content on his sleeping face. Will's arms were wrapped protectively around the smaller boy as he snored softly, merging their bodies together, and his chin rested on Nico's head, a small smile playing on his lips as he slept.

After a while of hushed voices and muted squealing, Nico blearily opened an eye. He surveyed the expectant faces around them and sighed.

"What?" he snapped, his Italian accent showing in his sleepy state.

"You two are adorable!" Piper said, loud enough for Will to stir. He took one look at the room, sighed even deeper than Nico had, tightened his grip and closed his eyes again.

"You wanna deal with this, darlin'?" he murmured in the Texan accent he was usually good at disguising. The room collectively let out a gasp.

"Thanks for that, amore," Nico grumbled but he didn't really sound mad as he shifted to be more comfortable and press further into Will. He watched his friends from the corner of his eyes.

"We're boyfriends."

Percy's jaw dropped. "What? Since when?"

Nico's face cracked into something that vaguely resembled a grin. "Three months."

"Three months?!" Jason exclaimed. "How are we just hearing about this?"

"Because seeing you run around like polli piromani senza testa was too good of an opportunity to pass up." Nico did grin now and quite a sinister grin. Will squeezed Nico and kissed his head.

"You weren't the one who had to treat the burns from those fires," he said, not opening his eyes.

"They were only light," Nico protested, "and you were laughing your head off at the time."

"I've never seen you laugh so much. It was adorable. Full on giggles." Will chuckled. The rest were staring them like they'd gone mad.

"The Ghost King adorable?" Leo repeated. "Giggling?"

"Only Will gets to say that and that's because he's carino." Nico pouted. It was an expression no one had ever seen on the prince of the Underworld before.

"Am I not carino?" Percy whined.

Nico gave him a withering stare before closing his eyes his mumbling in a voice thick with sleep, "Not my type."
