Nico blinked lazily, letting his eyes adjust to the sunlight. He rolled over in bed to find empty sheets still warm. In the distance, he could hear Will humming to himself. With a small smile, he forced himself out of bed so he could say goodbye to his boyfriend before he left for work.

Wrapped in a dressing gown, Nico trudged down the hallway and saw Will making breakfast. He wrapped his arms around Will’s waist and buried his face in his back.

"Hello, my dear," Will said brightly. "I didn't think you'd be up this early."

"No one should be up this early," Nico grumbled, "but you woke me up so I decided to grace you with my presence."

"Right," Will replied sceptically. He turned around and kissed Nico’s head with a fond smile. "Wouldn't have anything to do with you wanting a good morning kiss, would it?"

"Absolutely not," Nico answered resolutely even as he stood up on his toes to kiss his boyfriend.

Will’s arms wrapped around him and they sunk into the feelings of familiarity and the feeling of sunlight slipping into the room mingled with coffee.

"My little ball of darkness," Will mumbled teasingly against soft lips.

"Please don't." Nico pulled back a little only to be pulled back in. Will grinned and moved to kiss his neck.

"Honey." He spoke in between kisses. "Darling. My love. Sweetheart. Death Boy."

Normally Nico would protest but he was far too tired and in love to care at this point. Will kissed up his neck, along his jawline and finished with a small kiss on the nose.

"I have to leave for work," Will nearly whispered.

"No," Nico whined, looping his arms around Will’s neck. "It's a Saturday."

"People still die on the weekends, sugar."

"How horribly insensitive of them," Nico complained.

"Isn't it just," Will agreed, giving him one last kiss. "I'll be back before you know it. I love you."

"Love you too," Nico called after Will as he hurried to put his shoes and coat on before blowing Nico a kiss and shutting the door behind him.

Nico smiled to himself. Maybe he'd call Hazel later and they could play pranks on Percy. Right now, though, he has a warm bed to get back to.
