Still on the hard floor where he passed out, Sampson was covered with a blanket and was resting on a pillow, courtesy of Eugen. He opens his eyes, and slowly sits up, examining the room he was in while rubbing his eyes with one hand.
Sampson: Ugh...what a crazy few days this has all been. Still can't believe I'm on such a historic ship...life sure does throw crazy curveballs at ya.
He stands back on his feet and stares at Eugen's empty captain's chair. He walks over to it, and sat down to try and grasp the feeling of being the warrior of Iron Blood.
Sampson: Damn, I'm starting to think she wasn't lying about this chair making her feel soar
He gets up and stares at his destroyer sitting in front of the cruiser off to the port side, his name enshrined on the back of the ship, "Sampson". He exits the bridge, making his way down to the decks of the massive cruiser. A few minutes later, he would find himself walking out to the forward deck, admiring the massive main guns sitting in their neutral positions. They were a historic sight in his eyes.
The destroyer wasn't even a few feet away from the cruiser's port bow, they were parked so close to each other. He jumps from the bow of the cruiser to the helicopter flight deck on the back of the destroyer, looking back at the cruiser before making his way through the hangar.
A few minutes later, he makes it up to the bridge. He opens the door, and upon entering, he finds Eugen sitting in the CO chair, once again. And Hipper in the XO chair.
Sampson stares and smiles, Eugen spins the chair around to face him, along with Hipper staring right at him as well.
Sampson: Fine morning...I'd like to have my chair back?
Eugen: Oh come on, I just want to know what it's like...to be the captain of a ship...from another world
Sampson immediately knew she was onto him, how did she find out? He attempted to fix the situation he knew would derail fast. But he also knows there's most likely no turning back. Eugen and Hipper aren't stupid. Sampson isn't foolish enough to underestimate them.
Sampson: I'm sorry, I don't get what you mean.
Eugen stared at him, clearly displeased.
Eugen: Oh come on, Sampson
She pulled out two objects, the first...being the tape...the second, being the dark blue book. Sampson's eyes remain unchanged. But the smile goes away.
Sampson: Damn, how the hell did they find those?
She was holding irrefutable evidence.
Sampson: Where did you get those?
Eugen: It doesn't matter how we got them
Eugen: Care to explain..."future" boy?
Sampson: Heheh...
Sampson slowly struts across the bridge, tilting his head.
Sampson: Well, looks like you caught me.
He said with a big smirk. He then points to the book.
Sampson: First of all, no one is supposed to see what's in that book
Eugen: Cut the bullshit.
Eugen said in a stern voice.
He comes to a stand still, returning his eyes to meet Eugen's cold stare.
Sampson: Well? What do you want me to say?
Eugen: The truth would be splendid.
Sampson: Trust me, the last thing you want to know is the truth.
