Jay and Erin's baby journey

Erin Insomnia

Yesterday was a hard case for Erin, and she couldn't sleep all night.

Erin saw Jay asleep next to her, and her baby girl sleeping in her cot.

Erin pulled her covers off her, and took a deep breath.

"Dammit, this is really annoying." Erin muttered quietly.

Erin put her legs at the top of the bed, and her head at the bottom of the bed, to see if she could sleep that way, but she couldn't.

Erin then sat up, and went into the lounge to do some night yoga.

Erin grabbed the yoga mat, and placed it on the floor, then sat on it, with her legs crossed, and her head hanging down.

"Ugh, this is impossible" Erin groaned. as she stood up, and placed the yoga mat back into the closet.

Erin then went in the bedroom, and saw her baby girl awake.

"Oh, Hi sweetie, did you have nightmare?" Erin asked softly, as she picked her up.

"Nwo, I-I dwidn't see woo." Kimmy whimpered.

"Oh baby, it's okay mama's struggling to sleep, and Daddy is snoring his sleepy head off." Erin giggled.

"Haha, sweepy dada." Kimmy giggled.

"Yep, sleepy dada." Erin whispered.

"Want mama to read you a lullaby?" Erin asked softly.

"Ywes pwease." Kimmy nodded.

"Okay, let's lay you down first, then we'll sing." Erin replied, as she placed Kimmy down in her cot, and brought the rocking chair over.

"Hush little baby don't say a word, mama's gonna buy you a mocking bird." Erin started singing.

"And If that mocking bird don't sing, papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring."

"If that diamond ring turns brass, mama's gonna buy you a looking glass."

"And if that looking glass gets broke, mama's gonna buy you a billy goat.

"And if that billy goat don't pull, Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull.

"And if that cart and bull pull over, mama's gonna buy you a dog named rover."

"And if that dog don't bark, Papa's gonna buy you a horse and cart."

"And if they horse and cart full down, you'll still be our sweetest baby in town."

"Night my beautiful baby bear." Erin whispered, as she watched her daughter's eyes close.

Erin still couldn't sleep, and it was now 4AM, she needed to get dressed, and washed ready for work.

"Erin?" Jay sleepily mumbled out.

Erin was trying to be sneaky, but it didn't work, and now Jay is awake.

"Baby, go back to sleep it's okay." Erin whispered.

"Mmm Kay." Jay mumbled, and fell back to sleep.

Erin was glad that Jay fell back to sleep, she slowly opened the bathroom door, and turned the light on, then closed the door.

"I'm so tired." Erin whispered, as she washed her face, and brushed her teeth.

Erin cleaned her mouth, and put on her makeup, she used concealer to hide the small bags under her eyes.

Erin was finally done, she had her clothes on, and now she's ready for work.

Erin opened the door, and walked out, she saw Jay getting Kimmy ready.

"Morning baby," Jay smiled.

"Morning." Erin replied, as she fought a yawn.
