Jay and Erin's baby journey

Flu shot!!

It was one morning, and Jay, Erin, and Kimmy were at the doctors, waiting for Jay's flu shot.

"JAY HALSTEAD!!" A young nurse called.

Jay's hands were trembling, he hated needles.

"Your gonna be fine babe, I promise." Erin kissed Jay's head.

Jay nodded, and said goodbye to Kimmy.

"Bye Pumpkin!" Jay smiled.

"Byes da da." Kimmy babbled.

Jay walked to a room with the nurse, and Erin heard the door close.

"W-Why did Da da go with a lady?" Kimmy looked at Erin.

"Well, the nurse is giving daddy a small injection in his arm, to stop him catching colds." Erin explained.

"N-Needles!!" Kimmy squealed.

Erin shushed Kimmy gently, and reassured her it's fine.

"It's all gonna be okay, daddy's gonna be okay." Erin whispered.

Kimmy nodded, and watched Peppa pig on Erin's phone.

After about 10 minutes. Jay walked out, looking pale as a sheet.

"Didn't go that well, huh?" Erin smirked.

Jay felt like he was gonna faint.

"I-I feel like I'm g-gonna pass out..." Jay mumbled.

"W-Why'd they let you go then, can't they see how pale you are?" Erin asked.

Jay nodded, and fell on Erin's shoulder.

"Woah!! O-Okay, your okay Jay." Erin rubbed Jay's back.

"CAN I GET SOME HELP OVER HERE!!" Erin yelled.

After a second. Will came rushing out with a wheelchair.

"Sit him on this Erin." Will advised.

Erin nodded, and placed Jay on the wheelchair.

A nurse adjusted Jay's feet, putting them on the stands.

"I-Is he gonna be okay?!" Erin asked.

"Yeah! we just need to check him over, did he eat anything today?" Will asked.

"N-No!! He was too scared, that he'll throw up." Erin admitted.

Will nodded, and Jay's eyes lolled to the back of his head.

"We need to go now!!" Will ordered.

The nurse nodded, and followed Will to an exam room.

"We'll update you with any news!!" The nurse replied.

Erin nodded, and watched Will take Jay down the corridor.

"Mama?" A young voice whispered.

Erin looked down, to see Kimmy's lip wobbling.

"Aww sweetheart!! D-Daddy just needs looking at, he'll be okay." Erin smiled.

Kimmy nodded, and leant on Erin's shoulder.

After Awhile. Will came out with some news.

"No need to panic!! Jay's okay, we got him in a gown, on some fluids, to rehydrate him, he's awake, and alert." Will explained.

Erin let out a breath of relief, and followed Will to Jay's room, with Kimmy in Erin's arms.

After a moment. Will opened Jay's door. 

Jay was lying down, awake, with an IV giving him some fluids, he looked better then he was.

"Hey Baby!" Erin whispered.

Jay looked at Erin and Kimmy, and smiled.

"H-Hi.." Jay croaked.

"Hey da da!!" Kimmy exclaimed.

"H-Hi sweetheart!!" Jay exclaimed.

After a few minutes. Kimmy was occupied with Erin's phone.

"W-What happened?" Jay asked.

"Well, you passed out babe, right after your flu shot." Erin explained.

"P-Passed out? How?" Jay whispered.

"You didn't eat enough food, or drink enough today, it made you dizzy, and out of it, so Will gave you some fluids." Erin stroked Jay's chest.

Jay nodded, and closed his eyes.

"Get some sleep babe..." Erin suggested.

Jay let himself relax in bed, and fall to sleep.

After a few hours. Jay started kicking the duvet off him.

"G-GET OFF!!" Jay yelled.

Erin and Kimmy both woke up, and saw Jay fighting with the nurse.

"I-it's just some antibiotics, Mr Halstead." The Nurse argued back.

Erin stood up, and spoke.

"Can't you see My Husband's clearly in distress, and you pumping him with antibiotics, won't calm him down, it'll get him agitated, do me a favour, and call Will Halstead." Erin explained.

The Nurse huffed, and went to get Will.

"Your okay Jay, she's gone..." Erin held Jay close.

"S-She tried g-giving me m-medicine, me don't want medicine." Jay's inner autism was poking through.

"I know babe, take some deep breaths." Erin rubbed Jay's back.

Jay took some breaths, then slowly relaxed.

"W-What's wrong with daddy?" Kimmy looked up.

"Daddy's just a bit unwell, he's gonna be okay, Uncle Will, will be here in a second.

Kimmy nodded, and watched for her Uncle.

After about a few minutes. Will walked in.

"Jay?" Will whispered.

"B-Bubba!!" Jay cried.

Will held Jay in his arms, rocking him softly.

"I'm here munchkin, I'm here...." Will soothed.

Jay sobbed into Will's chest, and clung to his scrubs.

Will got himself comfy on the hospital bed, and lied Jay down on his lap.

"It's alright, I got you." Will stroked Jay's hair.

Jay snuggled into Will's lap, and fell asleep.

"He's settled down, now." Will whispered.

Erin nodded, and smiled.

After a few hours. Will fell asleep with Kimmy in his lap, while Erin fell asleep, with Jay in her lap.
