Jay and Erin's baby journey

Jay's dad died!!

Erin and Jay, and Kimmy were waiting in the hospital waiting room. 

"Hey, come here babe." Erin opened her arms. 

Jay leaned on Erin's shoulder, and sighed.

"Pat's gonna be fine." Erin whispered.

Jay nodded. and kissed her shoulder.

After Awhile. Dr Marcel came walking out.

"Family of Pat Halstead?" Marcel spoke.

Jay stood up, and nodded.

"I-I'm his son." Jay replied.

"I'm Dr Marcel, I'm treating your father, Pat has got end stage liver disease, were treating it with fluids, and oxygen, I'm so sorry, but, your father hasn't got long left, I advise you to spend as much time as possible you can with your father." Dr Marcel explained. 

"W-Wow, okay." Jay took a breath. 

"I'll leave you be." Marcel walked off. 

Erin stood straight up, and held Jay close.

"I-I'm so sorry baby." Erin kissed Jay's temple.

"Yeah, well, we didn't get on." Jay sniffled. 

Erin nodded, she knew Jay and Pat had their arguments, and off days.

"I know baby, let's go sit down, yeah?" Erin suggested.

Jay nodded, and walked with Erin.

After a few minutes. Will came walking in. 

"Hi Y'all." Will smiled.

Erin and Kimmy said their hello's, where Jay stayed silent.

"Little bro?" Will whispered.

Jay looked up with teary eyes. 

"What?" Jay tried clearing his tears. 

"Come here." Will sat on the chair.

Jay broke down in Will's arms, and shook.

"I got you munchkin, I got you." Will stroked Jay's hair.

Jay gripped Will's scrubs, and cried. 

"I-Is da da okie?" Kimmy huddled close to her mama.

"Yeah, baby girl, daddy's just a bit upset, but Uncle Will's got him." Erin played with Kimmy's braids.

"Oh." Kimmy got up, and walked to her daddy, and Uncle Will.

"I'm here daddy." Kimmy used her small arms, and hugged Jay's shoulder. 

Jay pulled Kimmy close, and hugged her.

Kimmy gently petted Jay's hair, and babbled.

"Shushie, da da." Kimmy tried comforting Jay. 

Erin and Will awed, and spoke to each other.

"How long does dad have?" Will asked.

"Umm, I tried asking, but they wouldn't give me anything, as I'm not family, but Dr Marcel said not long." Erin explained.

Will nodded, and sighed.

After Awhile. Jay and Will were in Pat's hospital room.

"Everything okay?" Will asked.

"Yep, Pop forgot he was in his 60's playing with a bum ticker." Jay sassed. 

"Shut *cough* up." Pat coughed.

"Hey!" Will checked Pat's vitals. 

"I-It's fine, Man." Jay brushed it off.

Will nodded, and checked Pat's chart.
