Jay and Erin's baby journey

It was early morning, and Jay, Erin, Kimmy woke up to the sound of loud knocks on the door.

Erin woke up first, and nudged Jay awake.

"Baby." Erin whispered.

"It's very early baby girl." Jay yawned.

"Jay, wake the heck up." Erin shouted.

Jay woke up, and that's when he heard the louds knocks.

"Who could be here this early?" Jay asked.

"If it's Adam I'm gonna kill him." Erin threatened.

"Haha, baby, just calm down okay, go see who it is, and I'll look after Kimmy." Jay suggested.

"You sure?" Erin asked.

"Yes I'm sure, go see who it is babe." Jay smiled.

"Okay." Erin smiled back, after kissing Kimmy and Jay on the head.

Erin walked out of the bedroom, and walked downstairs to the door.

"I swear, If it's you Adam, I will hit you." Erin whispered, as she walked to the door.

Erin got to the door, and opened it, to reveal a lady, and two cops.

"Can I help you?" Erin asked.

"Are your Mrs Erin Halstead." The Lady asked.

"Yes, I am." Erin stated, still confused why they were here.

"And, is Mr Jay John Halstead your husband." The lady smiled softly.

"Yes he is, I'm sorry who are you, and why are you here?" Erin asked

"I'm Sandra Evans, I work with Department of Child and Family services." Sandra stated.

Erin's world came crumbling down on her, she had no idea why they were at her house.

"W-Why are you here?" Erin asked again.

"We've received a formal complaint, about your daughter Kimberley Kiara Lindsay - Halstead." The lady replied.

Jay was still in the bedroom, he was getting worried, his wife had not come up yet, he then looked over at Kimmy who was awake, and babbling.

Jay got off the bed, and walked to the cot, and picked up Kimmy.

"Let's see where Mama is shall we." Jay smiled.

"Mama, Mama." Kimmy babbled.

Jay laughed, and walked out of the bedroom, as he got closer to the stairs he heard his wife talking with someone.

"But, nothing has happened to her." Erin argued.

"Ma'am, you have to understand we take complaints very seriously." Sandra replied.

"Oh, I bet you do." Erin scoffed.

Jay walked over to his wife, and his heart dropped to his stomach to see a lady, and two cops behind her.

"Baby, what's going on?" Jay asked, as he came closer to her.

"I-I don't know, there from the department of family and children services." Erin sighed.

"Hi Sir, are you Mr Jay Halstead?" Sandra asked.

"Yes I am, what's happening." Jay replied.

"As I was telling your wife, there's been a formal complaint against you two about your baby girl." Sandra explained.

"Complaint?, Baby what's she on about?" Jay asked, as he got nervous.

"They think we've hurt our daughter Jay." Erin cried, as she wiped her tears.
