It was one night, and the whole unit were on a stakeout, while Kimmy was with Nat, and Jay was in his car, looking out for the offender.

"Voight, I see nothing yet." Jay replied into his radio.

Hank pulled his radio up to his mouth, and responded.

"Copy Halstead, stay on the car." Voight ordered.

"Copy t-.." Jay got cut off by a bash to the head on the dash.

Hank and Erin looked at each other in confusion.

"Halstead?" Voight asked.

Erin was biting her nails in worry, Jay would always reply.

"Jay, do you copy?" Hank tried again.

No response.

"Hank." Erin spoke.

"Jay, answer me now." Erin ordered, as she reached for her radio.

"Nothing." Hank sighed.

"Alright, go see if you can find him, or if anything has happened, be safe." Hank instructed.

"Got it." Erin rushed out, and jumped out of the car.

Erin slammed the door shut, and legged it.

Hank decided to radio the rest of the team.

"Guys, anyone got eyes on Halstead?" Hank's voice came through.

"Negative boss." Kev replied.

"Same here." Upton spoke.

"I got nothing on Jay." Burgess voiced.

"Nada." Dawson piped up.

"Alright, Jay is missing, I've sent Erin to go check, stay in your cars, No one is to make a move without my say, we got one of our detectives gone, I want it to keep that way." Voight ordered.

"Copy." The whole unit replied.

Erin saw Jay's car, and saw the driver's door opened.

"Jay." Erin whispered.

Erin ran as fast as she could, and saw nothing, but blood on the dashboard.

"Jay, where are you." Erin replied, as she moved.

Erin used her torch, and saw Jay's vest, badge, radio, and gun.

"Oh my god." Erin gasped.

Erin reached up for her radio, and explained what she saw to the team.

"Guys, I got Jay's car, and badge, vest, radio, and gun, blood is also on the dashboard." Erin explained sadly.
