Jay and Erin's baby journey

Broken Leg

It was the afternoon in the bullpen, and Kimmy was with Adam eating a lolly pop. 

Jay and Erin arrived at the district, and they passed Platt, then walked upstairs. 

Jay ran upstairs, but ended up tripping on the step, and falling backwards. 

"JAY!!" Erin screamed. 

Erin rushed upstairs, and got the team. 

"GUYS, JAY'S FALLEN DOWN THE STAIRS!!" Erin yelled. 

They all got up, and followed Erin to where Jay was. 

Jay had his leg twisted, but luckily not in the step. 

"Oh my god." Adam yelled. 

"Someone call a bus!!" Hank ordered, and Kevin rang an ambo. 

Erin sat with Jay, and held his hand. 

"Oh baby, why'd you run for." Erin whispered. 

I-I don't know." Jay sobbed.

"Come here baby." Erin held Jay in her arms, being careful about his leg. 

Kimmy saw her da da on the stairs crying in her mama's arms. 

"Mama, why da da crying?" Kimmy babbled, as she got picked up by Kim. 

"Oh, silly daddy fell down the stairs, but don't worry the ambulance is going to take him to the hospital." Erin smiled sadly. 

The paramedics came upstairs, and asked what happened. 

"What's happened?" the pic asked. 

"M-My Husband fell down the stairs, and fell backwards." Erin explained. 

"Okay, let's set up an IV, and give 10 mills of morphine, and 2 mills of paracetamol." the pic replied. 

"Copy that." Lucy responded, as she inserted the needle in Jay's hand, and taped it up, then added the medicine.

Jay buried his face in Erin's neck, he hated needles, and the pain wasn't helping. 

"Oh bubba, your okay." Erin whispered. 

Jay got put on a stair chair, and got taken to the ambulance. 

"I'll go with him." Erin replied, as she hopped in, and held Jay's hand. 

"Is da da okay?" Kimmy asked. 

"He'll be fine sweets, just need to go hospital, so they can help him. 

The ambo arrived at Med, and they got Jay out. 

"What we got?" Will asked, but then noticed it was his brother, and Erin. 

"Jay Halstead, Male, 29, Fell down a flight of stairs, possible broken left leg, we gave him 10 mills of morphine and 2 mills of paracetamol, didn't lose conscious throughout the injury or ride, concussion is negative." The Pic explained, while wheeling Jay.

"Okay, let's get him to a room, I need a gown, and tell the or were on our way up." Dr Halstead ordered. 

"Don't worry Erin, we got him." Will smiled, as he rushed off. 

Erin sat down on the plastic chairs waiting for some news. 

The team walked in, and sat with Erin, until they gave some news about Jay. 

"HI everyone." Will smiled. 

They all got up, and walked to him. 

"How is he Will?" Erin asked. 

"He's going to be okay, the surgery went well, we managed to repair the broken bone, without any complications, he's asleep for now, he might be in pain for awhile, but just call me or one of the nurses, and they'll top up his medication, also when you go in to see him, he might not talk straightaway, but this is all normal." Will explained. 

They all sighed in happiness, and Kimmy asked Will a question. 

"Uncle Will, why is da da asleep?" Kimmy asked. 

"Well sweetie, when people go in surgery they put people to sleep, so they don't know what's going on, as this makes people scared, and in pain, daddy's okay, he'll be asleep for awhile. " Will smiled. 

"Oh, okie." Kimmy smiled, and toddled off to her mama."

It was after awhile, and Erin took Kimmy to see Jay. 

"Ready?" Erin whispered. 

"Yep." Kimmy nodded. 

Erin opened the door to see her husband awake, and by the look in his eyes, he was scared to sleep again. 

Erin knew her husband hated hospitals, he would always stay awake, or cry, but Erin would be there. 

"Hi baby." Erin smiled. 

Jay just nodded and smiled, and focused back on the tv. 

"Hi daddy." Kimmy babbled. 

Jay smiled tiredly, and focused back on the football. 

Erin knew her husband was scared, and nervous about staying in. 

"Mama, why isn't da da twalking to mwe?" Kimmy asked. 

"He's in a lot of pain baby girl, he'll talk to us eventually, I promise." Erin smiled. 

Kimmy nodded, and sat on the chair on her mama's lap. 

After about an hour, Will decided to take Kimmy back to his and Nat's house, which Kimmy loved. 

Erin could see Jay fighting sleep, so she carefully got into his bed, and forced his head softly in her lap. 

Erin scratched Jay's head, and back till he fell asleep. 

Jay fell asleep under Erin's touch, and snored. 

"There you go baby." Erin whispered. 

Erin fell asleep as well, until Morning.
