Looking at everyone you could tell they were flooded with memories of you and what impact you had on each other them individually. They all had an impact on you as well, more having a bigger one than the other.
Seeing how they all grew made you emotional, you all used to be high school students who knew nothing but volleyball. But after drifting away it may had been the cause as to why everyone had changed.
"You look great Y/n, how are you" Tendo asked still having his arms wrapped around you. "I'm good for the most part, school has been a pain." School was hell, all the studying and test made you want to end it and find a new career. But you were already too far into the year and couldn't back out.
Tendo finally let you go and you saw everyone's faces. They were all different in a way, some were happy, sad, or in between both. Needless to say everyone had a different emotion to you. They had different thoughts as well.
News flash, Semi was an ex boyfriend. Reason to why you had a much bigger impact on him. For many reasons you two broke up, it was your idea.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's start drinking!" Your roommate was more on the crazy side and started drinking bottles of alcohol left and right. With you being the driver you had to stay sober which wasn't a problem for you.
Everyone went their separate ways and joined their own groups, but not Semi. He stayed admiring you, longing for you. He waited to see you again and now was his chance.
"Hey Y/n" His voice was low considering how much he looked like a jackass right now. You looked up at him like you used to when you guys were dating. "Hi Semi" You lifted one corner of your mouth so you came off friendly. "It's been a while." You added after, Semi nodded his head in agreement.
"What are you majoring in." You didn't really know what anyone was doing since you left without contact with anyone. "I was thinking medical maybe a nurse of some sort." Semi didn't seem like the type of person to be in the medical field.
"That sounds rough." Your major was already hard enough so imagining medical was even worse. "Are you dating anyone?" Semi knew it was an out of the blue question but he asked it anyways. It kind of caught you off guard from how quickly he asked.
"Um, no?" You were confused yes, but you answered honestly. "Cool" He didn't seem cool if anything he made it seem like it was good that you were single.
"I'm gonna go get some juice" If anything you wanted to get out the awkward situation and leave as quickly as possible. You could tell Semi wasn't over you just yet. Even if it's been a while But he understood and left you alone to do whatever.
Making your way to upstairs you wanted to get away from the party in general. Everything was too much for you so taking a break wasn't too bad, you went into one of the bedrooms hoping that there wasn't a couple or strangers getting it off in the room. Luckily it was empty, you sat on the bed and just looked around the room.
It was a pretty basic room, like a guest room. Beige with white sheets and dresser. Painting of bears and the forest, it was pretty generic. You wanted to sleep till the bathroom door opened.
Ushijima walked out while drying his hands on a towelette. "Y/n" He was still stern as always. "Ushi" You smiled at him, he was always a good person to you regardless of what you've done. "What are you doing in here." He didn't move from his spot but folded his arms around his chest.
"Trying to get away." You were serious too so he understood. "I'll leave you alone then." He was always thinking he was a bother or that people didn't want him around
"If you want to stay it's fine." You really didn't mind, the company would really help you from being bored but talking to Ushijima isn't exactly entertaining.
He just shrugged and sat down next to you on the bed. He looked more handsome than the last time you saw him. Definitely more bulky and lean. He smelled like musky and wood, it was a pleasant smell though.
"Are you doing good in your academics?" Typical question he would ask, "Yes, I am." You kept your answers short so you wouldn't bore him.
"Y/n, why did you leave the group" He seemed genuine when asking it though, it caught you off guard a bit. "Well, I just don't seem to have the passion anymore I guess." You weren't sure really why you did leave, you assumed that you got bored and left.
"We all missed you, I missed you." Ushijima seemed softened, and that he was actually upset with you leaving.
You've never seen this side of him before but it was cute, in a way you knew he trusted you because of how he showed his emotions to you.
"Y/n, I want you to know that I care about you and that you are always apart of the team." He still has that stern look on his face but his voice is genuine.
"Knock knock!"
