"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer." -Romans 12:12

Bree Morrison left lunch feeling defeated. Her Covert Operations grade revolved around a dance that she had nothing to wear. Bree walked back to her new dorm room alone. When she entered, she was stunned to see a box on her bed. It was a white box tied with a yellow bow. She anxiously opened it. She pulled out a dress. It was white with spaghetti straps and the top half was a lace. It had a sweetheart neckline, her favorite. At the waist, it flowed out to uneven lengths around the knee. It was the perfect dress. Bree even had some cowgirl boots with white flowers that she had brought from Kansas. In the bottom of the box was a note. It read:

Get used to wearing white. Have fun at the

dance. Consider this our engagement gift.

                                                                                            Love,

                                                                            Zach and Cammie

Bree smiled. She quickly threw on her dress and boots. She used her curling wand to give her beach waves. She then did a braid crown and did purple makeup that would make her eyes pop. Bree studied herself in the mirror. She felt like a future bride, and she loved the feeling.
"Woah," Anna said. Bree jumped. She hadn't heard Anna come in. She truly was a chameleon. "You look heavenly."
Anna looked gorgeous too. Her dress was a deep purple. It was bejeweled along the busy, and flowed out at the waist.
"Thank you, Angel," Bree smiled. "Will you help me?" She picked up her locket. She rarely took it off, it was a gift from her grandmother.
"Sure," Anna smiled. She latched the locket around Bree's neck. "Are you okay? You've been out of it lately."
"I'm excellent," she smiled. She couldn't wait for Chase to give her the OK to tell Anna that they were engaged.
"So, where'd you get the dress?" Bree asked conversationally.
"It's a little fancy, but I love it. My parents gave it to me. You?" Anna asked in return.
"Same," Bree smiled. Anna gave her a confused look, but didn't pry.
"So, um, Peyton asked me to be his date," Anna admitted.
"Anna that's awesome! Right?" Bree exclaimed.
"I don't know," Anna sighed. He's been so hot and cold lately. One minute he looks at me like he's falling in love, then he brushed past me in the balls without a second glance."
"Boys are confusing," Bree lied. Chase wasn't confusing. He was straight forward and Bree loved it.
"Liar," Anna laughed. "I wouldn't be surprised if you became Bree Evelyn Goode next week." Bree froze. It was meant to be a joke. She pursed her lips.
"Aubree."
"What?"
"My real name. It's Aubree. I've never really told anyone that before. Once my grandma died, my parents had me go by Bree for security reasons. I never really understood it until now."
"Woah," Anna said. "Does Chase know?"
"Yes. I told him sophomore year. He's never brought it up. I'm grateful for that," Bree smiled.
"I'm glad you told me," Anna smiled back. "Let's get out of here, we're going to be late.
Walking into town that night Bree was uneasy. She couldn't find Chase anywhere. She asked around, but no one seemed to know where he had gone. At one point, Anna must have sensed Bree's nerves, because she grabbed her hand and squeezed it. Bree was grateful. They were nearly at the hoedown when Mr. Solomon grabbed Bree's arm.
"Due to recent events I will be your security for the night. You are not to leave my side. Before we go in, I actually have an errand to run. You don't mind, do you?" He asked.
"Not at all," she replied. Another lie. She actually did mind quite a lot. She wanted to find Chase. He would be nervous when he didn't find Bree. Bree and Joe Solomon walked down a long, windy sidewalk. "Where are we going?"
"Almost there," Joe replied simply.
Bree's nerves began to pick up. They weren't walking towards town, they were walking away from it. A terrifying thought crossed her mind. What if Joe was giving her to Catherine to keep his grandkids safe? Suddenly, Bree's fears were gone. Joe was taking her to a white gazebo. The gazebo had lights strung all over it. It was breathtaking. Standing in the middle with his back to her was Chase. He was wearing a suit. He was, without a doubt, gorgeous.
"What the heck?" Bree asked. Chase turned and grinned at her.
"What? You didn't think I was going to organize a nice romantic gesture to ask you to be my wife?" His smirk grew bigger.
"Chase, I said yes. Besides, I thought you didn't have a ring with you," Bree joked.
"I got it from papa Ed on his birthday," Chase informed. Bree heard the click of a camera. She turned and saw Joe and Rachel Solomon each taking photos. Standing beside them were Zach and Cammie Goode. Bree suddenly understood how they got the dress to her. Cammie's arm was laced through Zach's and she was beaming.
"Chase," Bree whispered. She felt her eyes welling up with tears. Chase dropped to his knee and pulled out a velvet box from his pocket. Bree gasped as she look at her engagement ring. It was silver with a round diamond in the middle. The stone was placed on top of 2 infinity signs emerging from each way. The infinities were coated in tiny diamonds. Her hands flew to her mouth.
"Aubree Evelyn Morrison," Chase began. He smirked as he said Aubree. "From the moment I saw you, I knew I wanted you to be my wife. You have a pure heart of gold that drives me to be a better man each and every day. You have changed my entire outlook on life, and I am so grateful. You have saved me from my inner demons. I could spend the rest of my life loving you. Would you do the incredible honor or becoming my wife?"
"Yes," Bree squealed. "Yes of course!" Chase smiled as he slid the ring on her finger. The second he stood up, Bree grabbed him as tightly as she could. Chase pulled away so that he could kiss her. He dipped her and kissed her even more. The cameras kept clicking. Bree realized why the gazebo was so familiar. She had seen Zach and Cammie's engagement photos on it.
"Congratulations! Again!" Cammie cheered as she ran to hug Bree. Zach embraced his son and then moved on to Bree.
"Thank you for the dress!" She said sincerely.
"Don't mention it, you're a vision in white," she smiled.
The Solomon's and Chase's parents left to give the 2 some privacy. They laughed, they hugged, they were happy. Bree stopped suddenly as the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.
"Bree," Chase whispered.
"Yes," Bree said. It wasn't a question. It was a confirmation. The happy couple was no longer alone.
