Outside the closed hospital doors, the allies of the Goode family prepared to fight. Macey and Preston watched the elevator, monitoring everyone who came out. Liz and Jonas were on the computers denying access and monitoring security cameras. Abigail and Edward stood watch at one end of the hallway, and Grant and Bex took the other end.

"You guys are about to have company," Liz said into her comms. "I don't know how they got in but there's a group."

As if on cue the elevator doors opened. 2 large men stepped out. Preston's eyes widened and Macey took her fighting stance. Preston took his taser and tried to tase 1 of the men, but the man grabbed his wrist and twisted the taser towards him. Macey took the opportunity to kick the mans arm and then throw her weight back and knock the other man to the ground.

Bex and Grant had 5 men on them. Grant grabbed Bex's arm and spun her in a circle. Bex kicked all of the men hard. When more ran at them, Grant chucked Bex and she flew onto the crowd of men and began beating them up.

Liz and Jonas told their friends which way attackers were coming and tried to gain control of the elevators. The Townsend's were moving to help Bex and Grant, when suddenly a woman fell from the ceiling and pinned Ed to the ground.

"Hello, darling. Did you miss me?" Catherine sneered. "So exciting about our little grandchild." Without missing a beat Abby twisted her body and kicked Catherine in the face. Catherine flew off of Edward and hit the wall. "Oh, so you're the one who took my man? I've seen prettier." Abby lunged at Catherine.

"Abby no!" Ed shouted. Catherine pulled out a knife. Abby kicked it out of her hand. Townsend took the opportunity and got his hands around Catherine's neck. Before he had the opportunity to snap it someone barreled into him and pressed him against the wall.

The group was outnumbered and they knew it. Townsend was still pressed against the wall. Macey had been knocked out by the elevator and Preston was blocking her from everyone. Bex was being stretched between 2 men and Grant had his arms being held behind his back. Liz and Jonas were trying to move in, but their attempts of climbing through the vents failed when they got stuck.

Abby looked around. Bex was bleeding from a puncture wound on her arm. Grant's eye was black. Edward's lip was busted and bleeding. Abby tried to move, but pain shot through her arm. Catherine was laughing above her.

"You took my place? I've seen children put up a better fight," Catherine snickered. "You should have chosen me, Ed. Kill him." Abby's blood turned cold. The man holding Townsend pulled out a gun.

"No!" Abby screamed. Shots rang out. Abby watched as 1 by 1 every attacker fell to the ground with a bullet to the head. She looked at Catherine, but she was already gone. Abby looked up and saw Zach holding a pistol. He looked tired and pained. Zach wasn't a killer, but this was what he was trained to do. Zach never missed.

"Where did she go?" He shouted. No one knew the answer. Zach sighed and ran his hands through his hair.

"Why did you do that, buddy?" Grant asked. "You weren't supposed to come out of that room no matter what happened." Finally, Zach smiled. He resembled his old self. He laughed as his eyes welled up.

"Newest member of the family. 8 pound, 8 ounce, 20 inch baby girl. Annalise Ariel Goode is in the world," his voice cracked. Everyone was silent. Macey had regained consciousness and smiled. No one said a word. They were all frozen in place. Finally, Townsend walked to Zach and embraced him in a tight hug and slapped his back. Everyone shared the tender moment. Unfortunately, all moments come to an end.

"She's not going to give up," Ed whispered. Zach nodded.

"I know, but for now we're safe. It's hard to rebuild the circle. I guarantee I just took out most of her men. We're safe. I'm not going to let anyone hurt my baby girl," Zach replied. His face turned to stone, and he resembled Townsend more than ever.

When visitors were allowed in the hospital room, everyone cooed over Annalise. Her eyes were a bright shade of blue and her hair was a light brown.

"Not bad, Goode," Grant said with a grin. He was holding her. She looked so tiny in his muscular arms.

Cam was still tired, but had gotten plenty of rest. She brightened up as Joe carried Chase into the room. Chase was attempting to talk. Joe set him near Cammie's arms, where baby Annalise was sleeping. Chase looked at her with a strange expression.

"This is your sister," Cammie said. She beamed at her children. Chase tried to crawl on the bed. Cam scooted over and patted for Zach to come lay. Zach squished on the bed and put Chase on his lap.

Chase reached out his hand and touched his little sisters face. He smiled, it was adorable. Then, something in his expression changed. He looked worried. He scooted closer and put his arms around her. He was protecting her.

"That's right buddy, you have to protect her," Zach whispered. "There's going to be a lot of people that want her. Keep her safe." Cammie could have sworn that Chase looked his father in the eye and nodded.
