"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." -Jeremiah 29:13

We started our search at the school. The rest of the children were eagerly waiting to get picked up for summer. I quickly found Diana Winters. I called her name and she gave me a defeated look.

"Did you know about this?" I asked.

"No," she hung her head. "I'm not surprised that Anna did this. I'm just so surprised that she didn't tell me. We're supposed to be best friends."

"I know the feeling," Bex said as she put a hand on Diana's shoulder. I gave her an apologetic look. I had done the same thing to Bex the summer before our senior year. "She is so your daughter, Cam. She's exactly like you."

"That's what I'm afraid of," I breathed.

"Are her and my son a couple?" Bex asked, getting the conversation back on course.

"No," it was Anna's other roommate, Caroline, who answered this time. "They went to the hoedown together and they've been flirting all semester, but that's it. I thought they were just flirtatious friends."

"Do you have any idea where they would go?" Grant asked.

"They're your kids. Shouldn't you have a better idea than us?" Diana shrugged.

"She's right. We've taught them to think like us. The question is, what would we do? Thank you, girls," I said. We exited the school and waited outside of the car.

"Well," Zach began. "Sneaking out is very you, Gallagher Girl. She's your daughter. Where would you have gone?"

"It's not that easy. I would have gone alone. I wouldn't want to risk anyone else. She sees strength in numbers, that's you, Zach. So what would you do?" I argued.

"Well she's not alone, Cammie," Zach groaned. "What would your kid do?" He asked Grant and Bex.

"Well if I snuck out with a chick that I thought was hot I would take her somewhere private and comfortable. I wouldn't care about finding someone, I would just use that as an excuse to get her alone," Grant laughed. He quit talking when he saw Zach pale at the thought.

"If it were me, I would find a legitimate lead. I would try to find where my target was located," Bex considered. Zach's phone began ringing in his pocket.

"Hey Townsend," he answered. I leaned in. "Are you sure it was them? Okay, thanks for the lead."

"What?" Adalind and Amelia asked anxiously.

"Townsend says his family phone logs were accessed this morning. He thinks it was Peyton and Anna because he showed them how when they were kids. He doesn't know if it means anything, but the last call he made was to me when I was in Brazil on my last mission. If it was Peyton and Anna and they think the call was to Bree and Chase..."

"Then our children are in Brazil," I finished. We left immediately.

It wasn't hard to locate the kids. We checked security cameras and saw which way they went. We were in the mountains when we came across a small grocery store. We asked if they had seen the kids. The workers passed looks.

"A young boy came in here with a fake ID. I'm not sure how old he was, but he was huge. When we questioned it , he grabbed a girl and ran," the clerk told us.

"That's definitely my son," Grant said with a chuckle. "Do you know where they went?"

"They jumped over the side of a waterfall," he said.

"That's my son," Bex mumbled under her breath. Amelia mapped the path of the river and pinpointed a general location for the kids.

"I'll bet they went into the rainforest," Adalind added. "There's way more protection there. If they think Bree and Chase are in hiding, that's a good place to hide."

"Let's make this quick. I really hate snakes," Grant grumbled.

We did make it quick. Scary quick. I don't know what I was expecting, they were kids. They had barely even been in coveops. We were hot on their tails for a couple days. We finally caught up to them. They were hiding behind a large tree. I took a deep breath. I let the stern mom voice come out as I said, "Annalise Ariel Goode. Come out from behind there this instant."
