("Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." -Psalm 37:4)

I woke up to the sound of someone snoring. I rolled over and slapped my husbands arm. "Zach," I groaned. I know I should have been glad that he was sleeping for once, but how can one be happy when they can't sleep? I tried to cover my ears with a pillow. A loud snore emerged.
"Zach!" I hissed. He murmured something in his sleep. I sighed and sat up. It was going to be hard for me to fall asleep.
I got out of bed and went to the kitchen for a snack. I splashed water on my face at the kitchen sink and looked up. A big window sat right above the sink. I looked out into the darkness half expecting to see someone. I thought I saw someone move, but it was just the wind and the plants.
I made my way back to our room and crawled back into bed. I felt the weight shift beside me as Zach rolled over. He wrapped his arms around me and nuzzled his head into my neck. He threw a leg over the top of my body.
"You have got to be kidding me," I grumbled. I think it's finally time that someone gets exposed. It's true, Zachary Goode is a cuddler. You don't have to believe me, but I swear it's true. Sometimes he can be the biggest baby. I sighed and tried to fall asleep.
I woke up to something tickling my neck. I swatted at it with my hand and tried to go back to sleep. The tickling proceeded, so I opened my eyes. They were met by deep green eyes. Zach was grinning at me.
"Good morning, Gallagher girl. I slept like a baby last night. I haven't slept that good in years. How did you sleep?" He asked. Maybe it was the lack of coffee. Or maybe I was mad that Zach had chosen kissing my neck to wake me up. Heck, maybe it was the PMS.
"I hardly did, Zachary," I snapped. "It was impossible to sleep with your loud snoring!"
"I don't snore," Zach said giving me a questioning look.
"You did last night," I argued. He shrugged. I glared at him. "You go make breakfast and get the kids ready for school. I'm going back to bed." I closed my eyes tightly.
"Anything for you," he said. You might think that's sweet but trust me, his tone was definitely not sweet. He was making fun of me.
I was probably asleep for 30 minutes before I heard the door open and little feet run across the floor.
"Mom, Riley packed his lunch in my lunch box! He won't give it back. Tell him to give it back! And why would you make French toast for breakfast? I don't like French toast!" Jaycee complained.
"Go tell your dad," I groaned.
"Mom!" She whined. "I need my lunch box!"
"Zach!" I called. I heard the door open and someone else came to my bed.
"Mom, tell Jaycee she can use my lunch box! I don't want to take out all of my stuff and organize it in my own. She can just use mine for the day," Riley said. I groaned.
"Zach!" I yelled. He didn't come. I channeled my inner actress and used a terrified voice. "Catherine!" And just like that I heard heavy footsteps as Zach barreled into our room. He wasn't wearing a shirt and I rolled my eyes. He always cooked without a shirt. I thought it was dangerous, but I wasn't about to complain.
  "Where is she?" He shouted.
"Calm down, she's not here. I'm trying to sleep, you deal with the kids," I said. Zach looked like his heart was racing.
"Don't do that, Gallagher Girl," he gasped. I shrugged. He grabbed the kids and pulled them out of the room.
I snuggled back into my blankets. I would finally get to sleep. I had just shut my eyes when I heard my phone begin to ring.
"No," I groaned. I picked up my phone and snapped. "What?"
"Cammie?" A voice whispered through the phone. "It's Tamari." Is shot up in bed.
"Tamari! Hi, what's up?" I exclaimed.
"Cammie I remembered something. I think I may know where your dads journal is," she whispered.
  "Really? Where?" I asked.
"There are rumors about a safe that she has. One of my classmates told me about it. She got the handprints of your children and used them as the lock. Only your eldest 2 can open it," Tamari said.
"That's crazy though," I said. "How did your classmate know?"
"She used to work with her," Tamari replied. "It's on a small island. She gave me an address. I can send it to you."
  "Please do," I replied.
"Of course. Goodbye, Cammie," she said.
"Call me if anything comes up," I said. And with that Tamari hung up the phone. Zach entered our room and looked at me questioningly. He could read me like a book.
"What's up?" He asked. I turned to him.
"Pack your bags. We're going to go get my dads journal."
