"When I am afraid, I put my trust in you." -Psalm 56:3

Words cannot describe how absolutely pissed off I was when I got the news. I had just let Chase go. I was devastated to begin with, then my daughter leaves? It was like the world was playing a cruel joke on me. It all started on a Saturday morning. Chase had only left days before. The night before I got the news, I had gone to bed like nothing was wrong. Zach was on an op, so it was just me watching Riley and Jaycee. I had taken a sleeping pill and gone straight to bed. That's when a foot kicked me.

"Cam!" The voice whisper yelled. I immediately jumped up and lunged at the voice. The sleeping pills made my reaction time slow and sloppy. The intruder grabbed my wrists and pushed me back. "Relax, it's just me."

"What the hell are you doing, Bex?" I hissed. I turned on the lamp and saw my beautiful best friend staring back at me. Her jet-black hair was shorter than before. It was still long, and it cascaded over one shoulder. Her cappuccino-colored skin glowed in the light of my lamp.

"Why didn't you tell me our children were together?" She growled.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Peyton and Annalise," she huffed. "Why didn't you tell me that they were together?"

"I didn't know they were," I said, fully waking up now. Then it hit me. If Bex was here unexpectedly with news about our children dating, without sounding happy, something was wrong. Something was very wrong. "Oh my gosh! Is my daughter pregnant? If your son so much as touched her, Rebecca!"

"What? No!" Bex exclaimed. "Besides, your daughter is older than my sweet Peyton, so if anyone was taking advantage, I'll bet it was her! She must have Zach's seductive genes!"

"Ok, enough," I interjected. "So, what's wrong with them being together?"

"What's wrong is that their missing!" Bex groaned.

"What?" I gasped. This wasn't right. I was going to pick Anna up tomorrow. There was no way she was missing.

"Jeez, Cam. Do you ever check your phone? Your mom called," she explained. Then Bex looked to my nightstand and picked up the prescription insomnia pills. She read the prescription and gave me a questioning look. "Cam this is a really strong dosage. What if something happened? It's dangerous to take these while Zach isn't here."

"I know," I admitted. "It's just hard when he's gone." Bex smoothed my hair like a mother.

"Pack a bag, Cammie. I already called Townsend. Abby will come stay with the kids while we're gone."

"Where are we going?

"Um, to get our kids back? Duh!" Bex said. I nodded.

She was right. We had to go find them and no one could do it quite like us. I quickly changed, grabbed my go bag, and went into the living room. I was excited for this. A trip of just me and Bex. It would be like old times. That's when I saw them. Adalind and Amelia were sitting on my couch. Adalind looked like the spitting image of Bex. Amelia's hair was different than Bex and her sister's. Her hair was cropped shorter. She had Grant's large brown eyes.

"Lovely house, Aunt Cammie," Amelia said when she saw me.

"So lovely," Adalind added.

"Really nice food too," a male voice said. I turned to see Grant walking out of my kitchen, arms full of food.

"So, this is a family affair?" I asked Bex. She laughed.

"Gallagher Girl!" He called through the house. He stopped when he saw the Newman family in our living room. "Oh." He walked to me and planted a kiss. Then he man hugged Grant and hugged Bex and the twins. "I'm guessing you heard?"
