Chase Goode walked through the halls of the Gallagher Academy with purpose. He was on a mission. He was going to find what he was looking for. He saw his target. He watched the beautiful girl with the long blonde hair.
"Bree!" Chase called as he ran after her. She turned to him. She gave him a quizzical look.
"How did you know my name? I never told you it," she said, catching him. Chase waved his hand and pointed to himself.
"I'm a spy," he replied with a grin. "Anyways, Professor Young says that we need to find a tour guide. I'm picking you." He leaned against the wall like it was all cool.
"Sorry. Lucas already asked me," she said, gesturing to the boy next to her. Chase shot him a death glare. Lucas paled and quickly muttered a never mind and left. Bree raised an eyebrow to him.
"Looks like you're stuck with me," Chase said with a grin. She nodded.
"This is your next class, Culture and Assimilation," Bree said as she took Chase to their class.
"Introductions are everything, ladies and gentleman. Learn to be polite and intriguing. Let someone get to know you, but don't let them know too much. Practice on your partners," the teacher began.
"I'm Bree," she said with a slight wave. He grinned.
"Chase." He watched the familiarity register on her face. Her eyes widened.
"You're him," she said. He didn't know what that was supposed to mean, but he assumed it was good.
"That's right," he said with a wink. "And you've got something that I need to know." He watched her frown.
"Look, you can drop your romance act now. I know what you want. You're in the loop, aren't you? Anna says you always are. That means you know what happened that night. You don't trust me and you think I had something to do with what almost happened. Let me spare you the flattery and tell you exactly what I told the CIA. I don't know why they didn't- why they didn't," she began. She stuttered and shook her head. "I don't know why. Maybe it was dumb luck. Let's just forget about it."
"What?" He asked, dumbfounded. "What are you taking about?" Bree's eyes widened. She blushed and dropped her gaze to the ground.
"Oh, I thought you were trying to see if you could get close to me, so that you could interrogate me," she said embarrassed. Chase frowned. He felt hurt and he couldn't even explain why.
"No," he said with a shake of his head.
"I'm sorry," she whispered. Chase looked into her bright eyes. He wanted so badly to see the real Bree.
"Who are you?" He asked, feeling his words from the other day come back.
"You know me. I'm Bree," she replied. Chase shook his head.
"That's not good enough." He hated being outside of the loop. He knew more than everyone about most things, yet he didn't know this girl.
"Who are you?" She asked back. Chase rolled his eyes.
"All I know is your name. You probably already know my life story," he said. She shrugged.
"I know that your Anna's older brother. I know that you're protective and you know things. I know all about Anna. I just don't know anything about you," she responded. Chase didn't have to tell her anything. He knew that. He could brush it off. For some reason he felt safe with this girl. He knew that he could trust her.
"I'm the top of my class, always have been," he offered. She opened her mouth to speak. He knew she would ask exactly what they taught at Blackthorne, so he continued. "Anna and I aren't the only kids, you know. We have 2 younger siblings. I'm guessing you already know that?"
"I didn't know that," Anna replied with a shake of her head. Chase shrugged.
"Riley is 9, he's the 3rd kid. He's a natural at going unseen, just like Anna. Then there's Jaycee. She's 6. She's the youngest and I adore her. I think she has the potential to be a honeypot. Just like you," he said. He noted the way Bree smiled as he said he adored Jaycee.
"The honeypot is just my cover," she assured. "I'm not really... I'm not a flirt. I'm not stuck up either. My best friend is actually my grandfather," she said with a smile. She looked at him and Chase cocked his eyebrow. She blushed. "I don't know why I just told you that. That's embarrassing."
"Embarrassing?" Chase asked. "My little sister is my best friend. That's embarrassing." Bree laughed. It was an adorable sound.
"He keeps me sane. He's always been there for me. He's a really hard worker and he offers the best advice. He's the best man I know," she said. Chase nodded. He thought they were doing pretty good on introductions.

A couple weeks passed. Chase talked to Bree every chance that he got. They were growing closer. They trusted each other, which is saying a lot for 2 spies. Chase couldn't stay away from that girl. He was drawn to her in every way possible.
He entered the grand hall. She was walking passed him. He clipped her foot at the perfect time. She tripped and he grabbed her. She was dipping over, his hands around her waist. He was fighting the urge to kiss her.
"Nice of you to drop in," he said with a smirk. He thought that he was all too clever. She gave him an odd look. She knew that she didn't trip. She knew that he had tripped her. Still, everyone else thought that she had tripped. He pulled her up and walked the other way. He wondered just how long it would take her to realize that he had slipped a note into her pocket.
That night Chase was in the P&E barn for hours. He hardly slept, he preferred to train. He had been at it a couple hours when he finally checked the time. It was midnight. On cue, Bree entered the barn. She had received his note. He grinned.
"Hey, Gallagher Girl," he said and winked at her. She looked very confused. Her hair was in a messy bun. She was gorgeous when she tried to look good, but when she didn't try she was even more flawless.
"Chase," she started with a nod. "Why did you want to meet?"
"I needed a partner to train with," he said with a shrug. He prayed that she didn't realize that he was really dying for the chance to get her alone.
He walked over to her. He raised an eyebrow and in 1 quick motion he grabbed her arms and pinned them behind her back.
"Too slow, Gallagher Girl," he whispered into her ear. He felt her shiver. Bree jumped into the air and did a back flip. Somehow she got out of Chase's grip and they landed on the ground with her pinning him.
"Too cocky," she whispered back. She smiled. Chase smirked.
"Kiss me," he said. Bree's eyes got huge. She was about to speak, but Chase used his distraction and rolled. He was pinning her now.
"I thought I was the honeypot," she teased. Chase let her up.
He took a few steps away and then charged at her. She jumped into the air. It looked like she was flying as she soared over his head and landed on the ground without making a sound. He whipped around and took a step forward. She jumped and did a back walkover, kicking him in the face. He grabbed his jaw.
"You're incredible," he murmured. Bree blushed. He slowly grabbed her hand. He wrapped his arm around her waist. She was stiff. "Relax."
"I thought we were supposed to be training," she said.
"We are. Dancing can be training too," he said. She didn't protest. They danced throughout the barn. He twirled her over and over. Chase was in shock. He had never acted like this. He had never cared about anyone like this. He pulled away from her and told her goodnight. She looked like she didn't want him to leave. He didn't want to leave, but he knew he had to stay away from her. He heard Abrielle's voice in his ear as he thought love makes you weak.
