(The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still. -Exodus 14:14)
A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: Finals KILLED me. I'm back now and updates will come soon!

Chase didn't miss a beat. He put 1 hand on the ground, arched his back, and threw his leg around in a semi circle motion. His foot crashed into Dallin's jaw and Chase heard a snap.
"Is that all you got?" Dallin chuckled. Chase's fury boiled as he punched Dallin in the face. Dallin retaliated and punched Chase where his black eye was forming. Chase grimaced and grabbed Dallin's arm. Chase twisted Dallin's arms in an unnatural position and pinned them behind his back. Dallin threw his head back and it crashed into Chase's. Dallin was strong. Chase never struggled in fights. Chase tried to deliver a blow to Dallin's face, but Dallin blocked it and pinned Chase to the wall.
"Katherine said you were so strong,"  Dallin whispered with a chuckle. "What a let down." Chase tried to squirm out of Dallin's grasp. Dallin applied more pressure and laughed. Chase noticed the blood dripping down Dallin's face.
"Poor Chase," Dallin mocked. "You didn't get the girl and you're losing the fight. In case you wanted to know," Dallin began. He smiled an evil grin and whispered to Chase. "She looks even better without clothes."
Chase felt a flame of fury he had never experienced before. He grabbed Dallin's arm with one hand and pushed it away. He saw panic cross Dallin's face. Chase grabbed his fingers and began to twist. Dallin shrieked with every snap of his finger.
"Chase stop," Bree said. She had been hiding against the wall. Her front was turned to the wall and she was holding herself tightly. Chase ignored Bree's protests and grabbed Dallin's neck. He squeeze tightly as Dallin began to choke and cough.
"Kill me," Dallin choked out. He gave a small smile. "Prove you're the monster we always knew you could be." Chase eased his grip. He didn't want to be a monster, but after hearing what he did to Bree, Chase wanted him dead.
"Chase stop, you can't kill him," Bree protested again. Chase couldn't ease his grip. Dallin's breathing had slowed and his eyes were rolling back into his head when Chase felt someone grab his shirt collar. It was pure strength and it jerked him back. Dallin dropped to the floor and gasped for breath.
Chase turned his head to the man grabbing his collar. He stared straight into a pair of deep green eyes identical to his own. The eyes were laced with worry.
"Stop it," Zachary Goode whispered. Chase tried to pull away from his father's grasp. Zach pulled him back  and gave him a warning look. Zach cautiously turned his head and shouted down the hall. "They're in here, Gallagher Girl."
Chase cringed. The last person he wanted to see him like this was his mother. She entered the room, her long ponytail swaying.
"You okay?" She asked her son. Chase gave a weak nod. Cammie scanned the room. Her eyes layed on the bloodied and heavy breathing Dallin. She dropped short and her eyes drifted back to Chase. Chase looked away from his mothers gaze. Cammie saw Bree and ran to her.
"Are you alright?" Cammie asked Bree. Bree nodded. Zach let go of his son and looked deep into his eyes.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Zach snapped.
"He..." Chase trailed off as his eyes met Bree's. He sighed. It wasn't his story to tell. "I wasn't thinking." Zach looked disappointed in him.
"He was thinking," Bree admitted. "I remembered something from Australia. Dallin.... did something to me. Chase was defending me." Cammie studied Bree intently. She was trying to figure out what Bree meant. It must have clicked because Cammie's mouth dropped and she held Bree.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered. Bree hugged Cammie back and her eyes welled with tears.
Zach walked over to Dallin and lifted him up by the collar. "Let's get you to Rachel and Joe," Zach said with his trademark smirk. "I'm sure they'll be happy to get their hands on you." Zach walked Dallin down the hall passed Chase.
"Dad," Chase said as he reached out his hand. Zach stopped and looked at his son.
"I don't want to know, Chase. I'm not mad at you. I know he did something to Bree and I'm not asking what. I would have done the same thing if it was your mom. Just control yourself, I'm not mad," Zach assured him. Chase nodded. His dad always had been cool.
"Do you want me to take you back to your room?" Cam asked Bree. Bree shook her head.
"Maybe a few moments alone?" She asked as she  gestured to Chase. Cammie nodded.
"Go straight back to your rooms when you're done. Be careful and make it quick," Cammie said to them.  Chase nodded. Cammie gave him a quick wink before she followed Zach to her mothers office.
"I'm sorry," Chase said when the two were alone. "I couldn't control myself." Bree pulled herself close to him and touched his face.
"You really do love me," she said. Chase looked at her in confusion. There was no way she could be okay with him. He was a monster.
"And you're not a monster," Bree said, reading Chase's mind. "I understand."
   "What now?" Chase asked.
"I'm not sure," Bree admitted. "But whatever we do we'll do it..." She began. Chase closed the gap between them and gave her a soft kiss.
"Together," Chase finished for her. He held her close. This was the first time he had felt peace in a long time. He knew that what he had said was true.
