PHILLIP'S POV

Ever since the talent presentation last Mr. and Ms Intramurals pageant, Alex had been upset. I'm not sure if she's upset though, she seems dazed and out of this world. One thing is for sure, she wasn't moved by what I did. And for unknown reasons, something happened between her and Charles.

If Alex had been moved by what I did, she would've acted strange with me. Well, she's acting strange but not the way I anticipated. She's still comfortable with me like she used to, but she's acting strange because of Charles. And lately, Charles seemed to be acting distant as well.

I really don't get the picture. But I'll try to know somehow, in my own ways.

"Hey Alex, that's not the way to school." I said. Bigla na lang kasi siyang nagcross ng street eh diretso na lang eh school gates na.

"May bibilhin lang ako sa convenience store. Mauna ka na lang." sagot niya at pagkatapos ay tumalikod na papasok ng convenience store.

Is it the time of the month again? Does she need to buy sanitary pads? She should've said so para bumili kami noong pumunta kami ng grocery. Wait, could that be the reason why she's acting strange? Could it be the one they call PMS and she was just experiencing mood swings? It could be, but I've got to get to the facts.

What about Charles? What could be the reason why he's acting strange as well?

I decided to just go ahead to school. But as I entered, there was a bunch of girls suddenly swarming all around me asking for a picture. Oh hey, I forgot to tell y'all I won the title as Mr. Intramurals. I do felt sorry towards my co-candidates as I took home all the awards and stuff, except for the best in talent though.. They said it was more of a personal purpose and not for competition.

Pinagbigyan ko sila. They took a lot of pictures and when I saw Alex walking fast, I had to leave the girls. I followed her closely behind and when I saw her grabbing Charles' shirt, I hid behind one of the posts of the pathway.

"Hindi ko alam kung saan ako magsisimula, hindi ko kasi alam kung bakit ka umiiwas. Pero kung may nagawa man akong ikinagalit mo, pasensya na. Kung inaakala mo na hindi kita pinapansin noong pre-pageant, nagkakamali ka. Hindi ko kasi maintindihan yung nararamdaman ko, ang lakas ng kabog ng dibdib ko noong hinawakan mo ang mukha at tenga ko. Heto, peace offering ko for you. Ikaw kasi dati gumagawa nito sa akin kaya ako naman ang magbabalik ng favor." Sabi ni Alex. It was almost a whisper, I barely even understood what she said. She walked past me and I saw her face all red.

Now I know the reason why. Hindi dahil walang epekto ang ginawa kong surprise event for Alex, hindi ako narinig ni Alex because Charles interfered. He took advantage of Alex'sweak point, physical contact with her sensitive ears. I know kasi when we were in elementary years, I pretended to whisper to her ears but I blew on them slightly and she cried really hard her face almost turned blue.

Tumingin ako kay Charles, and now Matt is with him. Meron ding babae na lagpas tenga na ang pagngiti at mukhang inooffer sa kanya ni Charles yung isang can na bigay ni Alex. That precious thing, ipapamigay niya?! Then I saw Matt dragging him away with the can still on Charles' hands. Phew.

The nerve of that guy, I didn't know he was a fool and a damn brazen.

I headed towards our classroom, and saw Alex looking anxious.

"What's wrong?" tanong ko pretending na wala akong nakita 7 minutes ago.

"Nothing." Tipid na sagot niya.

I know her. She's feeling anxious kasi she did something that the normal Alexandra won't. She's either thinking she did something right but she felt like she did something wrong.
