"She broke my 1 week rule"

"What did you wanna tell me?" Shawn asked, making himself comfortable.
"There's this girl in Topanga's Spanish class and she's exactly your type. Like exactly your type. Do you wanna go on a double date?" Cory asked excitedly asked.

"Okay, Cor...I haven't even dumped Dana yet. And I don't even know her-"
"Name? It's Angela." Cory said before Shawn could complete his sentence.
"I was gonna say skirt length but okay. Nice name" Shawn shrugged.

"She uses Kiwi mango lipgloss" Cory mumbled, instantly catching Shawn's attention.

"Kiw-Kiwi mango?! That's the so sexy!!" Shawn exclaimed
"And this is hers too...a book of sonnets"

"Shakespeare. I hear he's good." Shawn took the book in his hand.
"Check out the bookmarks. A ticket stub to a Van Damme movie. Only the greatest actor ever made!"

"So...you in?" Cory looked at Shawn, awaiting his answer.

"She's...interesting...I'd give her two weeks" Shawn smirked.
"Good. The date's on Saturday, and your thing with Dana ends on Friday. So Topanga and I will pick you up at 7!"

"Hey, Cor" He paused. "Just a suggestion. Why can't we set Brooke up with some guy and we can go as a triple date?" Shawn closed Angela's book and softly asked.
"Why Brooke?" Cory asked.
"You know, just so she doesn't feel excluded."

"She grew up with two brothers and you before Morgan was born. She's used to it" Shawn was slightly bothered by Cory's apathy. And since his conversation with Brooke, that day, he was adamant and ensuring on Brooke's inclusion.
"I kind of know that's not the real reason" Shawn raised a brow, looking right at Cory, making the curly haired sigh.

"The last time she went on a date, you know what happened." Cory pressed his lips.
"Yeah but this time you and I are gonna be there...no one's gonna lay a finger on her"

"That's that. But Shawn, she's one stubborn kid. I don't have the energy to convince her." Cory huffed. "Maybe we are overthinking this. Brooke is happy being single" Shawn nodded and stood up.
"Well, good for her I guess. But I hope this Angela girl knows about my 2 week thing."
"Don't worry, Topanga told her." Corry assured.
"So she did."

----

"What happened to Dana? Wasn't she an amazing kisser?" Brooke asks, passing Shawn the watch he asked for.
"New week, new girl" Shawn winked, tying his shoelace.

"CORY I'M READY" Shawn yelled towards the stairs before moving on to the left shoe.
"Where are you guys going?"
"Nothing special. Chubbies'. Do you want me to grab you a cheeseburger?" Shawn asked as Brooke nodded a 'no'. "It would've been good if you found a date like I suggested you to" He sat on the couch, waiting for Cory to get down.
"Nope...I like binging Van Damme movies in my pajamas, stuffing my face with Cap' n Crunch while I pretend to be the actress in the movies. My idea of an ideal Saturday night. Who needs dates and parties and making ou-" Brooke shut up before she overshared. The last thing she wanted herself to sound like was a 40-something, husbandless cat lady who works as a librarian in a public high school in front of her crush.

Okay, maybe cut down on the high school dramas? She made a mental note.

Shawn snickered.
"It'd be cool if you came with us" Shawn said, as a small smile crept up to her face.

"What's her name?"
"Angela. From what Cory told me...she's quite interesting. She might be the girl who breaks my one week rule" Brooke's eyes shot up to look at Shawn. An unreadable expression captured her face.
"What?" She muttered under her breathe. He hadn't even met him and he was already all over her!
"Yeah, I was considering giving her two weeks" Relief washed over her.
"Oh" The smile reappeared.

"Okay I'm ready!" Cory slipped into his shoes and walked out.
"Man I don't feel like leaving you al-"
"Shawn, we're late, let's go" Brooke pressed her lips into a thin line in an attempt to smile.

"Enjoy" A small mutter escaped her lips.

The front door slammed shut as Brooke exhaled and plopped herself on the couch.

"Stupid...dress!" She grunted as she made herself comfortable. Dresses were pretty. She loved them. But the short, tight ones sucked. Why did she wear them then? Because Shawn was home the whole day. She did not wanna be caught in her casual clothes...by him.

She rushed upstairs and changed into something much more comfortable...and much more ugly. Her hair were bullied into a bun and she drowned herself in a sweatshirt and shorts that reached just below her knees. She skipped downstairs, grabbing a bowl of Cap' n crunch and some milk.

But what she saw next was unbelievable...

"Eric Matthews. At home. On a Saturday night. Oh my god, I am dreamin'!" She exclaimed as Eric rolled his eyes at his sister's antics.
"Drama queen" He muttered.

"So. You home by choice or did mom ground you?"
"None of the above. Heather ditched" Brooke winced.
"Well, I guess we both can be dateless now" She slightly smiled, grabbing the remote and plopping herself on the couch. "I'll pick"

"Two single souls stuck at home on a Saturday night. What are the odds?" Eric grinned.
"Oh don't start with that, again! I'm happy being single! I've got the freedom to do whatever I want, whenever I want. No relationship drama for me!" The corners of her lips raised a bit.
"Relationship drama? You make it sound like dating is similar to surviving a battlefield." Eric rolled his eyes.

"Maybe it is. Dating is difficult." Brooke shrugged. "So when you look at those cheesy romcoms, you don't wish you had someone to give random kisses and pinned to the locker moments-"
"Ew Eric! Stop! It's weird talking about this stuff with your brother!" Eric ran a finger through his hair.

"Brother? I'm your dating guru now" He boasted.
"Yeah...a dating guru who's dateless on Saturday night? You must be one heck of a guru then!" Brooke took a handful of Cap' n crunch and filled her mouth.
"Coaches don't play, bee" He winked.

"You say that to make yourself feel better" Brooke whined. "Okay, maybe I do want a relationship. But not with just anyone..."

"Well is there someone you like? Maybe I can set you up" Eric offered.
"No. I don't like anyone."
