"Meet my parents officially, boyfriend"

"Or y'know, we could just ask Brooke to decide." Cory argued pointing fingers at his sister.
"Unfair advantage. Of course you will get the stuffing" Shawn retaliated, earning an eyebrow raise from his girlfriend. "I love you, babe" He added.

"Guys you're fighting like five year olds" Brooke glared, snatching the bag of stuffing from Cory's hands.
"Well, he took my stuffing! And I'm gonna tell Mr. Feeny!" Shawn glared, quite like a five year old.
"Well then, I won't be friends with you!" Cory glared. "Okay look, there has to be a way that both of us can have the stuffing." Cory exclaimed. Brooke looked like she was having Eureka moment as a thought slowly creeped into her mind, the idea shaping itself in the form of a smirk, which obviously went unnoticed by the two stuffing-blinded nutheads. "It's Thanksgiving! I have to be with my family" Shawn argued, trying to pry the bag of stuffing from Brooke's hands.

"We can have Thanksgiving together!" The words slipped her mouth as the duo looked like they had just woken up from a 20 year coma.

"Together? Like with our families. Like in one room? Like TOGETHER?!" Shawn's pitch increased and the nervousness reeked through his voice. "Babe I know I'm damn hot and girls and Cory literally lose their mind when they see me but breathe and look away from my face and then speak again" he continued.
"Hold on. She might be on to something. For once." Cory said, looking at her to elaborate her suggestion.

"Shawn I'm in my senses. I know exactly what I'm saying. Plus it's thanksgiving! Everyone loves thanksgiving!"

"Except Turkeys!"
"Shut up Cory" Shawn and Brooke said in unison.

"Shawny, c'mon you can meet my parents this way" Brooke said tugging on his palm with both her hands.
"Meet? Brookie, your dad has walked in on me in the bath like a billion times. I wear the guy's robe!" He exclaimed.
"Yeah bro...um, I've been meaning to talk to you about that..." Cory said sucking on his teeth.

"But you never met him officially. Like how people usually meet their girlfriend's parents!" She excitedly clapped, making it harder for Shawn to turn down her suggestion.
"But our families barely know each other" he argued, his voice more low key.
"And what better time than thanksgiving to get them acquainted!" Cory's smile grew wider.

"Fine...Okay okay...It'll be the first Hunter-Matthews' thanksgiving!"

"That's pretty unfair! You have dinner with the Lawrences all the time! Why not with Shawn's family?" Brooke argued trying to convince her dad.
"It's a whole different thing! We barely know each other" Alan retaliated, raising his pitch slightly.

"Well so now's a good time!"

"Brooke we're not having dinner with the Hunters, and that's final. I'm the man of this house, what I say goes."

"But daddy please"

"Of course we're having thanksgiving dinner with the Hunters" Alan said as he rolled his eyes, picking out a shirt from his closet.
"Why would you even agree to it in the first place?" Amy said, swatching a matching shade of red lipstick on her wrist, to wear tomorrow.

"Did you not see her? She started crying! How do you shut that up?!" Alan justified his decision.

"Yeah babe they're thrilled about it! What's going on at your place?" Brooke asked with a fake smile that Shawn obviously couldn't see through the phone.
"Yeah! My parents are super excited" he lied right through his teeth.
"Okay then...I'm getting sleepy. see you tomorrow. Good night, I love you" Brooke yawned. "Love you more" He replied. They both ended the call, sighing as they stared at their own landlines. The last few seconds of the call was the only time where they didn't blatantly lie to each other.

"Oh man! I forgot my purse in the car" Amy whined, her grip around the casserole loosening.
"What do you need your bag for?" Alan suspiciously raised a brow.
"I don't need it, I just don't wanna leave it in the car" she said, her voice lowering, slightly guilty for admitting it.
"Well I don't wanna leave the car in the car but we're stuck with it!" Her husband replied, rolling his eyes.

"Guys, guys, please! Just gimme the keys and I'll run to the car." Eric intervened.
"And when would you be back?" Alan asked.
"I'm not coming back" The eldest said, putting his hand out for the keys.

"Eric!" Brooke whined.
"You. You did this to me. And Cory. You're the worst!" He said with a small pout.

"You know I am never taking you guys anywhere ever again." Cory turned around giving his family an unimpressed look.
"And I am very surprised by this family's negative attitude" Amy scoffed, looking around her with a disappointed glare.

"Mommy I have to pee" Morgan innocently murmured, looking up at Amy.
"Oh, ew, honey no! Just hold it in until we get home" Amy awkwardly whispered, contrasting her scolding towards the family, earlier.
"Mom!" Brooke glared, exhaling sharply. "Morgan just wait until we get to Shawn's trailer, okay?" She nodded.

Alan tosses the car keys to Cory. "Purse"
Cory nodded and jogged off.
A few steps later, Alan pauses and stares at the trailer. "This must be it. The Hunters" He pointed at the name.

"But that says the Unters" Amy pointed out.
"Well obviously the 'H' fell off" he shrugged.
"It did not. It is the Unters'. The correct trailer is this one" she said, her finger in the opposite direction. "Also Mr. Unter gets really upset when people assume that the 'H' fell off" she said, knocking at the correct trailer.
"How many times has she been here?" Alan raised his brow, sneakily whispering to Amy, earning a shrug.

The door creaked open, revealing Shawn. The Matthews stepped in the trailer, and the room immediately filled with overlapping greetings and warm welcomes as everyone started speaking simultaneously.

Shawn hugged Brooke, sliding the coat of her shoulders, as he kissed her cheek, the adults' conversation, being drowned out.
"Meet my parents officially, boyfriend" Brooke giggled, looking behind him to see the scene.
"I will, girlfriend" He let out a snicker.

When they headed towards the dining table, the conversation had changed from a bowl of fruits and wine to Hors d'oeuvres and Gruyère and pecan logs.

"...with a selection of crackers." Virna explained the food on the plate.
"Oh, I would love some Virna, Thank you!" Amy exclaimed, picking up a piece.
"I know it's not as fancy as what you would have served at home."
"No, it is exactly what I would have served!" Amy cautiously said.
"No you're just saying that" Virna said with a slightly sad smile. "You would've served the port wine cheddar in the ceramic crock"
"Oh yeah! Remember you gave it to the mailman that one year for Christmas" Eric opened his big mouth, enough to embarrass Amy.
"What?" Virna asked, confused.

"Oh he's not just our mailman! No! He's actually my biological father. But he doesn't know that I know" Amy said through gritted teeth.

Virna walks over to Chet and they start arguing about cheese, right when Cory walks in. He glares at Shawn and Brooke.
"How could you both let this fall apart before I got here?" Cory scoffed.
"Sorry dude, next time we'll wait for you before we ruin things" Brooke glares, sarcasm reeking off her words.

"Okay well it's up to us to keep this thing together" the curly headed boy said, shifting his arm, to support the purse.
"Lose the purse and I'll take you seriously" Shawn rolled his eyes.
"But it goes with my shoes!" Whined Cory.
