As I drove through the city I got a phone call from Amara. It was weird because I just left our penthouse and she stayed there.
We were together like fifteen minutes ago, why is my sugar calling me?
"Yes, sugar." I said as I picked up the phone call and I smiled on the thought of her
"Giovanni, I don't know how to tell you...umm..." she sounded really nervous and that made me nervous
"You can tell me everything, sugar. We will always find solutions for everything." I said and she sighed softly
"I was feeling weird for about a week and I didn't know why...and my period wasn't on time, so I took a pregnancy test..." she said as she sounded so worried about my reaction
"And?" I asked as my mouth opened agape
"Giovanni, I'm pregnant. You will be a dad." she said and my heart melted
"I will be a dad? You will be a mom? We will have a little copy of both of us?" I asked in excitement and shock
"Yeah..." she said and then there was some weird noise in the background
"What's wrong?" I asked as I furrowed my eyebrows
"Giovanni...someone's here." I heard Amara whispering as her voice cracked
"What do you mean? Who's there?" I asked as I made a turn to drive back to the penthouse
"There are at least three of them. They are checking the whole place...they will find me, Giovanni." Amara whispered as I heard her quiet cries
"I'm coming, don't worry. You have to hide before I get there. Are you hiding?" I asked as I needed to know if she's safe even for now
"Im hiding in your bedrooms closet, please hurry, I'm scared, Giovanni." she said so quietly that I barely heard anything
"Don't worry, Amara. I'm on my way. I love you, do you hear me? Everything's going to be okay." I said as I didn't stop at the red light
"I love you too." she whispered, she sounded so scared
"I will be there as soon as I can." I said and she whimpered a little
"Giovanni they are coming..." she whispered, I was driving as fast as I could
"You need to be calm, Amara. If they find you...do everything to stay alive until I get there." I said and she didn't respond
They were probably in the room where she was hiding.
"No! Don't touch me, NO! Giovanni!" I heard her screams through the phone
They have her. Fuck.
"Giovanni, plea...!" she screamed and then she stopped when I heard a loud noise
It sounded like they hit her against something. They hurt my sugar. The mother of my child.
The phone call ended, someone smashed the phone probably. I called Vincenzo and I told him everything that was going on. He said that he and our men are on their way. I speeded and everything I thought about was Amara and our baby.
