"Lissy, wake up." Santino said as he petted my head

I slowly opened my eyes and I saw him sitting next to me. I must've fallen asleep because of all that crying. Jax was sleeping next to me.

"You've been crying. What happened, sweetheart?" he asked as he ran his hand through my hair

"Is Giovanni okay? No one told me anything." I said as I sat up

He held my hand in his when his face expression saddened.

"Sweetheart, it's really hard to tell you what happened." Santino said as he sighed

I looked at him with raised eyebrows. What happened?

"You are scaring me." I said as I looked into his eyes

"Don't be scared, it's over now." he said as he smiled at me

"What happened. Please tell me." I said as I looked at him with hope

"There is one penthouse where Giovanni was spending time with Amara. Intruders broke inside when Amara was there alone and Giovanni wasn't there." Santino started and my mouth opened agape

It was hard to hear all of these things and to see how sad he was.

"She called him and he called Vincenzo. And of course our brothers did everything they had to do. But sadly one of the intruders shot Amara. They shot Giovanni too, but he is okay." he said and I saw how sad he was

"Is she okay? Is Amara okay?" I asked quickly

"No, sweetheart. She died on the surgery table. Domenico, Marco and a couple of other doctors tried to save her, but they couldn't." Santino said and I felt so sick to my stomach

I quickly rushed to my bathroom and I threw up. How can this be happening? Amara was killed?

Santino was right besides me and he held my hair up while I was throwing up. He was gently rubbing my back.

"Giovanni is broken, Lissy. Amara was pregnant." Santino said and my heart stopped

I turned to face him as tears streamed down my face.

"She was pregnant? No. This is...no...this can't be happening. Amara is dead." I said loudly as I looked at him

"I know, sweetheart. I know that it's terrible. But we have to be strong for Giovanni. He needs us." Santino said and I wiped away my tears

I was crying badly. Tears were streaming down my cheeks and I couldn't stop them. Amara is dead and their baby too. She was so sweet and we were friends. We wanted to meet each other this week.

"Come here, sweetheart." Santino said as he pulled me into his safe arms

My crying didn't help this situation. It was so hard to understand that it's happening in real life. Maybe I'm still asleep and this is a nightmare?

He held me close to him and I rested my head on his chest. I felt the grief I have never felt before.

"Where is Giovanni?" I asked as I sniffled
