"There is someone who wants to meet you." Vincenzo finally said after good five minutes of thinking
"I was stressing over nothing then. You could've just said that, why did you hesitate?" I asked as I smiled
He didn't say anything, He just looked at me and observed something. My response or body language, I couldn't quite tell.
He seemed shocked when I didn't care about someone who wants to meet me. Wait...who wants to meet me?
"Who wants to meet me?" I asked as I furrowed my eyebrows
"Our uncle. Your godfather." Vincenzo said with calmness in his voice
"My godfather? Our uncle? Why didn't you tell me anything about him sooner? He's dad's or mom's brother?" I asked so many questions without even thinking
It was like questions were flying around my head and I just looked at them and asked what I saw. Or maybe I'm just going insane.
"He is dad's younger brother. And I promise you, Lissy, that we didn't tell you because we had a good reason not to." Vincenzo said as he looked at me with his kind eyes
This time his eyes didn't look kind, more like afraid. Why is he afraid. The right question was... what is he so afraid of?
"He wants to meet me? I have a godfather and he wants to meet me?" I asked "I always watched the movies and the kids had godparents. I was so jealous." I added as I chuckled
"He isn't quite exactly as you imagine him to be..." Vincenzo explained
"He has three legs? Four eyes? He doesn't have any hair or teeth?" I asked as I raised my eyebrows
"No, you silly goose." Vincenzo laughed, he seemed to relax for a moment
"Then he is just like I imagine him." I said as I looked at Vincenzo with bright eyes
"Lissy," Dante started and I looked at him for a second
"What's his name?" I asked "My godfather's name." I added
"Federico Romano." Dante replied, but when he mentioned him, his face expression dropped
"Is he a maniac? Does he eats little kids for lunch?" I asked as I chuckled "Why so serious? It's a good thing that I have a godfather, right?" I asked as I smiled
My smile dropped when Vincenzo shook his head. He placed his elbows on the desk and he leaned closer to me. Scary.
"He is a dangerous man, Lissy." Vincenzo said and I giggled
"Good joke. For real...you had me for a moment," I laughed "Wait, are you for real?" I asked as my smile disappeared
"He isn't kind and sweet like you imagine he would be. He is ruthless and cold." Dante explained
"Cold like you?" I asked "You are cold, but I still love you. It doesn't mean that I forgave you, but I love you. If he is cold like you, we can think of something." I said as I smiled
