I walked downstairs and they were still shouting at each other in the living room. I wanted to take advantage of that so I could easily sneak out of the house and maybe leave together with my godfather.
But as I wanted to open the front door, someone grabbed my arm. I turned around and only then I realized that Davide was the one who stopped me.
"Where do you think you are going?" he asked angrily
I stiffened as I looked at him with big eyes. Then my godfather followed by Vincenzo and Dante walked through the hallway.
"You need to leave." Vincenzo said harshly as he walked behind Federico
When they saw me they furrowed their eyebrows and then it all started. All the questions and scolding.
"I only wanted to spend time with my godfather. And I wanted to know more about our dad. Why are you acting like this?" I asked as I looked at Vincenzo
"Did you really thought that you can take her away from us?" Dante asked angrily as he looked at Federico
"She needs to know things. She desperately wants to know more about her dad, don't you see that, Vincenzo?" Federico asked as he turned to face him
"I am her legal guardian and I know what she needs." Vincenzo said and I shook my head in disbelief
"No, you don't." I said as I looked at him
All of my brothers were here. Standing in front of me, judging me and my ability to tell them what I want and what I need.
"I want to go with him." I said as I looked at my godfather
He looked at me and slightly nodded his head. His lips tilted upwards a little, but he still looked sad.
"That's not going to happen." Dante said and I shook my head
"Why?" I asked loudly
"Because we said so." Davide spat out
"I'm tired of you always worrying about me. I want to live my life. I want to go with my godfather." I said as I looked at them
"You want to know more about our dad? Okay, I will tell you all about him." Gio said and I looked at him for a moment and I realized that they just want what's best for me
I shook my head.
"Don't leave me, Lissy." Gio said and I suddenly felt so bad
"I don't want to leave you or anyone else. I just wanted to spend time with Federico." I said as I looked at my godfather
"I will take care of her." he said as he looked at Vincenzo
"It's not going to happen. I have been worried sick about Lissy's safety and I'm not going to flush it down the drain for her to have a little family trip." Vincenzo said and I raised my eyebrows
"I'm going. You want it or not." I said strictly
"Okay, sure. Go and wait for police to find you. They will bring you back you want it or not. You can go and try." Vincenzo said as he grinned
