It was just a fever.

After being in bed for five days straight, eating soup and drinking tea, I could finally go to my volleyball practice after all this time.

The reason I was still in the team probably wasn't my talent. It was Vincenzo's money and donations to school.

Well...as long as I can be a part of the team, I don't really care.

I put on my sportswear and over it big, oversized hoodie. It was Giovanni's. He said that I can't walk around in shorts that are that short.

Dario took me to the school and as I promised Vincenzo, I didn't go anywhere without my bodyguard. I saw Vi, she was waiting for me outside the school. I haven't met her for so long. Next to her was Cole. He wanted to see me after all this time.

And that's why he decided to come to our practice. He said that he will cheer us up. But mostly I think that he wanted to spill the tea. He was talking about Mia. Another boy asked her on a date and she declined. Cole was so proud of her.

He wanted to share with us the cause for his big grin. He was just living a dream. That was what he said.

We walked to the school's gym and I met my coach. He didn't seem happy to see me. But he tried to fake a smile as he greeted me with a high five.

Just as we had those little breaks when we could go and drink water or eat a protein bar, I messaged Vincenzo.

Everything is great. Thank you for letting me come. Dario is here, observing everything. I love you.

Seconds later I got a message from him...

I'm glad that you are okay, Have fun, but don't overwork yourself. I love you too, Lissy.

I smiled on his message and I sent him a heart emoji. I placed my phone back into my backpack and I sat next to Vi and Cole.

"Brothers?" Vi asked as she rolled her eyes

"One actually. Vincenzo." I said as I smiled "He's okay now. He's not so harsh at least." I added

"Harley is. He is a pain in the ass. I would rather be the only child in the family." Vi said as she rolled her eyes again and she drank some water afterwards

"I'm not going to lie. I like Harley, he is keeping you safe." Cole said as he looked at her

"Remind me, why are you even here?" Vi asked as she looked at Cole

"That's funny." Cole replied as he laughed

"I missed you both." I said as I looked at them

"Girl, you can't imagine how badly I missed you. It's like hell in here without you." Vi said and I looked at her in disbelief

"But you have Cole." I said quickly

"Yeah, you got me." Cole added proudly

"He's just being an asshole. Trying to make me do my own homework. Snitching to Harley about the parties I want to attend. They seem so close now, Cole is better friend for Harley than he is for me." Vi said and my mouth opened agape
