"Yes, and she won't do it either, like ever in her life," Matteo spat out aggressively.

"You wish," I replied, smirking at him.

Enzo furrowed his brows and shot me a confused look.

"What?" Matteo demanded, locking his intense gaze on me.

"She will have her first date sooner or later," Vi chimed in, smiling at my brothers.

"No," Matteo snapped, glaring at Viola as anger rippled across his face.

"By the way, one boy asked me on a date," I lied, wanting to tease them. Watching Matteo stress was oddly amusing.

I know it's not the nicest thing to do, but don't blame me—it's funny.

"What?" Enzo practically jumped out of his seat.

"His name?" Matteo growled, his fists clenching so tight I thought they might explode.

Vi and Cole looked at me with confusion, but soon enough, it clicked. They understood my little game. Vi smiled mischievously. "Yeah, he's so cute too!"

I barely held back my laughter, forcing myself to keep a straight face. I can do this.

"What the actual fuck, Viola? He's a guy, and you're telling me he's cute? Are you out of your mind?" Harley barked, spinning Viola's chin to make her face him.

Vi rolled her eyes at him and stayed silent. Meanwhile, I glanced at Ace. His face was like thunder—angry and dark. But why? What's Ace's problem?

"Lissy, who's the boy?" Enzo demanded, clearly irritated.

"Why would I tell you?" I challenged, raising an eyebrow at the twins.

"Because if you don't, we'll call Vincenzo, and you know what happens then. Do I need to remind you of the 'No boys' rule?" Matteo hissed, practically buzzing with excitement over his perceived upper hand.

"Relax. There's no boy and no date. Chill out," I sighed, rolling my eyes.

"Do I look like an idiot to you?" Matteo shot back, his disbelief painted all over his face.

Slowly, I nodded.

His expression shifted to one of heartbreak, and for a moment, I felt guilty.

"No, you don't," I reassured him softly, locking eyes with him. I didn't mean to hurt him.

He scrutinized me, trying to figure out if I was lying.

"Is it true?" Enzo turned to Vi for confirmation.

"Yeah," Vi confirmed, taking a long sip from her water bottle. I could tell she was fed up with their overprotectiveness.

Finally, they seemed to believe us. Cole, meanwhile, was glued to his phone, clearly overwhelmed by the chaos. I couldn't blame him—sitting with this group had to be weird and stressful.

We finished lunch, though my brothers kept hijacking every conversation with nosy, ridiculous questions. So much for a normal chat with my friends.
