"I want to stay," I said, looking directly at Gio.
His expression darkened, sadness flickering across his face. He glanced at Dante for support.
"Say something," Gio urged, his voice tight.
"Why are you looking at me?" Dante asked, throwing his arms up in frustration.
"I'll call Vincenzo," Davide said, already pulling his phone from his pocket.
"Maybe you can stay here with me?" I suggested, my eyes shifting between my brothers.
"You don't want to go home that badly?" Davide asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I do want to go home, but I also want to stay here," I admitted, nodding slightly.
"But eventually, you'll have to come back home," Dante reminded me as he sat down across from me.
"I know. But I want to see the house our dad grew up in," I explained, my voice soft.
"And let's not forget," Hazel chimed in, looking at Dante, "we made a deal to watch at least ten comedy movies together."
"So, what should we do, Lissy?" Gio asked, his eyes locking on mine.
"You can stay here," Federico offered.
"You want us to stay?" Santino asked, his brows furrowing as he looked at Federico.
"Yes, of course. You're my nephews. We can have so much fun while you're here," Federico said, smiling warmly.
I suspected he was tired of dealing with three teenagers in the house and welcomed the idea of having adults around.
"I'm going to my room," Blake announced, turning to leave, but Dante's firm voice stopped him.
"Stay. We're not done with this conversation."
"Brothers, please stay here," I begged, looking at all of them.
"I can't," Dante said, shaking his head. "I need to get back home. Vincenzo's waiting for me."
My heart sank, and I dropped my gaze.
"I have to go, too," Gio added. "I'd love to stay, sweetheart, but there's so much work to do right now."
"I understand," I said quietly, nodding.
"I'm staying, baby," Santino said, pinching my cheek.
"Really?" I asked, excitement bubbling in my chest.
"Yeah. I can't stay away from you any longer," he whispered in my ear.
"I'd love to stay, but I can't," Davide said, watching me carefully for my reaction.
"That's okay," I said softly, trying to hide my disappointment.
"I hope we get along, Santino," Hazel teased, smirking. "Or I'll kick you out."
