(time frame: a couple of hours before Seungri called Dara)
Jiyong fired the last bullet in his gun as he kicked the nearest opponent in the jaw, hitting two men at once. They were too many, he knew that, but then again, he knew that he and his brothers alone can finish this business.
"Found anything useful?" GD called when he saw TOP punching a gangster about to hit him.
"None yet!" he answered, his eyes ahead as he savagely elbowed another gangster who was holding a dagger.
"Guess I got one, though!" Seungri hollered as he tossed an empty magazine and filled his machine gun with another one. "But when the heck will I tell you?! They're like zombies on their final wave!"
"Go plant a damn Doom-Shroom, maknae!" Daesung teased him, ducking and giving a straight punch on a gangster about to hit him with a tube. "That might help!"
"A Cherry Bomb, probably?" TOP added.
"Anybody need some sun over there? You know I'm willing to share," Taeyang chimed, grinning, making the other four laugh out loud.
After a few minutes, their job inside the main building was done. They quickly jumped out and GD gave a signal to TOP. Holding a tiny rectangular shaped black box, TOP pressed a button and in an instant, the building exploded.
"The war is really starting this winter, huh?" Taeyang remarked.
"I could only hope that our men did their jobs," GD muttered. He couldn't help but get irritated at the fact that three of his Submissives sent low-class gangsters to set a whole chaos in Seoul, plus there are Mafia and Yakuza groups who have successfully infiltrated the major cities in South Korea, especially Seoul and Gwangju.
"Thank goodness eight of our Submissives are still on us, though," TOP said as he jogged to catch up with them.
"I can't help wondering their reactions if they would find out the extent of Park Ji Soo's wealth, though," Taeyang shook his head, frowning. "This would go worse if ever they got blinded with it."
Jiyong sighed, massaging his nape. The pandemonium they'd encountered today at the building was nothing to the city-wide chaos happening around Seoul—and possibly at Gwangju. It was a good thing that the loyalty of the remaining Submissives never wavered at all; they were helpful enough to aid them at this. So far, they were successful in finishing up the main turf of their enemies.
"What was it that you want to tell us, maknae?" Jiyong turned to ask Seungri.
"Uh, Jiyong-hyung, those gangsters that we'd just finished earlier . . . they were just pawns," Seungri said slowly. "They were just diversions so the real ones would be able to do the real business."
Jiyong smiled to himself. "I'd realized that before we were able to enter the building, maknae. That's why I already sent the Shadows to do the business for us to obliterate them."
"But hyung . . ." Seungri's face scrunched up, as if trying to control his expression, "Those gangsters' business . . . was to stalk out people close to us! Hyung, I can't let Chaelin be harmed!" For the first time since they were declared as the Black Elites, Seungri's eyes were filled with tears.
Jiyong put a reassuring hand on his shoulder, smiling softly. "Breathe, maknae, breathe. I have sent Shadows already. I won't let anyone touch your sister . . . or Bom, especially Sandara." His eyes darkened. "I can assure you that, I swear. You're not the only one who had a bad past."
Seungri smiled, his eyes still moist. "Thanks, hyung. I'd go crazy if they would get CL. Literally."
Unlike the four, he had the worst nightmare as a child. He was an innocent little boy when his mother was brutally murdered by gangsters in front of him, and sleeping Chaelin almost lost her head if Seungri hadn't shot them with a real gun and sliced them with a katana. That dark event scarred him deep; he trained himself hard in the self-defense and artillery departments, making him a vicious killer . . . and very protective towards his twin sister, despite the fact that he loves to annoy her.
The four embraced him, something they rarely did. They may be the most ruthless gangsters, but that does not mean they don't have a heart.
"We better get going, though," Jiyong murmured. "Wipe your tears, little panda. The mess ain't over yet. We need your badass killing skills here."
"Hey!" TOP complained, making Jiyong grin widely. He knew TOP was a self-proclaimed hardnosed killer, and he didn't like it when his boss said that to Seungri.
"Be a hyung, TOP-hyung, for heaven's sake," Daesung chuckled. "And we'd better roll. The men are waiting."
"Yes boss," the four muttered, and they snickered as they jumped in Taeyang's Jeep.
