Yoon Nari didn't really need her friend like she thought she would. That morning of the wedding, Eunha came to the room they shared and literally went on her knees. She sincerely apologised for what she did and put herself in Nari's shoes. If it were her, she do be more than sad even. When Eunha saw Nari shedding tears, she hated who she was. She had never ever seen the girl that way. Ever.
Daya sat on the bed, watching them cry in each other's arms. She noticed how dry her eyes were despite the painful stings in her heart. She couldn't understand herself anymore. Was she really at the point where she couldn't work her emotions as normally as before?.
Eunha kissed Nari's cheeks over and over again, begging her to forgive her stupid mistake and be the bridesmaid. Nari of course, refused even when she had forgiven the older girl. She couldn't be herself if the attention was on her but Eunha didn't want anyone else to do it except her and Jeonghan had to beg his sister too after his share of apologies.
So yeah, that was how Daya was staring at the most beautiful girl ever. Nari knew for sure that she looked ridiculous. "This is nuts", she murmured, hating the reflection on the large mirror.
Daya shook her head with a smile. "You look beautiful, Nari. Look at you", she placed her hand on the girl's back, coming to stand beside her.
"No. Look at you. You look beautiful", Nari said, staring down at the smaller girl.
"I try", Daya smirked and Nari loosened up. How will Daya show this girl that the girl in the mirror was just as beautiful as she thinks of her?. They looked contrasting with the colours of their outfits; white and brown. Daya had on the gift from her mom. The perfect blouse and skirt could pass off as a dress and then, there was the scarf that she had around her neck. The neck piece made her outfit more elegant. Her white heeled cover shoes were the cherry on top.
Nari, however, being the bridesmaid, went with a lighter brown to match Eunha's wedding gown. The dress hugged her body and showed a perfect figure that was never seen on Yoon Nari. The tiny sleeves of the dress showed off her beautiful collar bones and her hair was tied behind her, exposing her pretty features. Nari thought the dress to be very exposing but everyone thinks otherwise. It was a lengthy one, almost reaching the floors. Her black shoes weren't as high as Daya's since she had such a height already. Then, the damn flowers. Nari was holding a bouquet of lovely brown flowers.
This feminine girl right now, wasn't Yoon Nari.
"Are you that bothered?", Daya said, watching the conflict in her eyes from the mirror.
"Maybe?. No one has ever told me to dress up. I was let to do my thing but... this right now says I will still go back to being a girly girl that society wants"
"You can pick your regular two piece, if you want", Daya rubbed the girl's bare shoulders.
"No. It's alright. For Eunha, I will do this for an hour"
Daya affirmed with a nod. "An hour and you can go back to being Yoon Nari"
Nari held the girl to her side, laughing. "Oh I can't wait"

Daya walked through the aisle, head up, back straightened and one of her working smiles on. She got to the podium and turned to the multitude. Holding the mic, she tapped it twice. "Good morning, everyone and a happy new year in advance", she scanned the seated crowd. "The wedding ceremony will begin shortly. Please, grab yourself a seat and prepare to recieve the groom and bride. Thank you", she stepped backwards and bowed her body very low, straightening her spine, she flashed a smile and got series of claps. She journeyed down the aisle again. The guests all tried to be seated like she had politely asked.
At the left aisle towards the last rows, a soft hand held her wrist, stopping her walks. Daya looked down, gasping at Seungmin. "What-"
He tugged her down and she supported herself from falling on him completely by placing her hand on the chair rail. "What a pleasant surprise, Daya", Seungmin mused, a slow smile stretching on his lips.
Daya's breath shuddered at that lovely smile. "What are you doing here?", she kept her brain formal.
"I'm someone's ride"
"Hey", Hyunjin peeked around Seungmin. The girl was so shocked. "Nari didn't tell you she invited me?"
"You invited yourself", Seungmin repeated, moving his fingers down her wrist. He looked up at her. "Do you want to sit with me?"
Oh how could she refuse that?. Especially if he already has their fingers locked.
Daya looked away from his eyes, they always sucked her in. People were looking at her. She had gone up to the podium and gotten their hearts so what was she doing with a stranger?. It felt different from the stares in SKKU. Here, there were people of different ages not just students. Seungmin and his friend didn't seem to care though. Probably because, this wasn't SKKU.
Fuck it.
It was the one chance she had to be out in the public with Seungmin. A golden opportunity. Should she dull and leave it?. Certainly not.
"Yeah, let's sit", Daya spoke.
Hyunjin quickly moved to the other chair, Daya sat in the middle and Seungmin stayed at the end of the aisle. "You look good", he complimented, dropping their intertwined hands on his laps.
Daya was affected by the PDA but she couldn't complain. She didn't want to. "Thank you", a small whisper.
"Where is Nari?", Hyunjin asked, very inquisitive.
"She is the bridesmaid", Daya managed to let out just as the piano tune started.
Jeonghan walked in with Eunha's hand on his arm. She waved her flowers at the people she knew. Her brown gown swept the floors after her. She was in for a ride at Daya. Her eyes fell to the hands joined on that fine guy's laps. Eunha smiled, waving her flowers at Daya and Daya smiled back, knowing she was going to be queried when she gets back to Nari's room.
Then, came her star. Nari walked behind Eunha with Woozi, a friend of Jeonghan and his best man, she easily towered over him, thanks to her family's good height gene.
"Wow. She is...beautiful", Hyunjin complimented, watching the girl stride past their row in the most majestic way.
Daya moved her eyes to him and truly, he was completely mesmerised by the girl in brown. Daya, just like her friend, was also very confused about the senior's intentions. She looked away and to the altar. She doesn't want Nari getting hurt, even though deep down she knew that most girls who got involved with any of them, came out hurt. She is yet to be the different case, and hopefully she will.
Seungmin looked at her. "Is everything good?"
"Y-yes. Everything is good", Daya smiled, she got a hum and soft caresses on her hand that still stayed in his hold.
The officiator saying; "You may kiss your bride", got her out of dwelling in euphoria.
Jeonghan kissed Eunha and the whole place erupted with happy hoots and claps. They had finally tied the knot.
So beautiful.
