"Hey. Hey", Hyunjin smoothly slipped his fingers into Nari's.

"Can you stop that?", Nari asked.

Hyunjin warmed at the fact that she didn't pull her hand away like the other times. "Stop what?"

"Coming out of nowhere?", Nari replied. She stared at the painting in front of her. "How did you even know I was in here?", she looked around the creative arts gallery.

"I have your interests at heart", Hyunjin smiled cutely.

Nari shuddered. "That's creepy", she looked at the boy. "What are you even doing in school?. It's a Saturday"

"We have a football match with your level boys", Hyunjin replied. "I am playing. Will you come?"

Nari snorted, looking back at the painted arts. She had come to school to get an inspiration for her project on creative arts that should be turned in on Tuesday. She didn't have time to watch a friendly match.

"Will you?", Hyunjin asked again.

"Why would I?. No"

Hyunjin tugged at their intertwined hands and she spun to him. "You should come because I will be playing. I'm good at the sport you know"

Nari stared at him, eyes wide. She should not be confused by this boy. But he is so pretty. Their joined hands burned and she pulled her hand back. "You have a motif, don't you?", she asked with a small smile.

"Motif?", Hyunjin scoffed. "No. Of course not"

Liar.

They stared at each other for a long time, like they were under observation. Nari shook her head first, stepping back. "No. That's not possible", she laughed softly. "You must be playing around like you normally do"

"In the field?. Yeah. I just told you I'm playing a match today", Hyunjin knew he was playing the fool, lying through his teeth.

Nari has trust issues. Why wasn't she believing him?. Maybe because the senior suddenly started moving her around like a pawn. They don't like each other. They used to dislike each other's path.

"Yoon Nari?"

She blinked and he came into her vision again. Nari placed her hands above the bands of her shorts. She turned to another piece of art. "You have a kid at home, don't you?"

"W-what?", Hyunjin coughed.

Nari glanced at him. "The senior from the pool. Did she deliver safely?"

"Yeah", he nodded. "She did. Seolee. It's a girl child and-", Hyunjin paused, he went back to that moment. Things were hectic with people saying he was the father and.. he found Nari's eyes again. "Wait. You don't think I'm the father, right?"

Nari's shoulders raised.

"What?. Seriously?. How could you?"

"You didn't sleep with her?", Nari asked back, staring at every feature on his face.

"I did", Hyunjin admitted and she shrugged again. "But I'm not Seolee's father. We did a paternity test. I'm not. Was that the reason you had a shield up?"

Nari scoffed loudly, rolling her eyes. "Shield?. What shield?"

"Yah", Hyunjin stepped to her, turning her body by her shoulders. "I caught you, didn't I?"

Nari could feel the coldness of his hands seeping through the short sleeves of her t-shirt. "Caught me?. Hwang Hyunjin, really?"

Remind Hyunjin to give himself a pat on the back for not giving into the sudden strong urge of kissing her. "See you in the field", he stepped away quickly. It was so unlike him to walk away from such an opportunity. On any other day, with any other girl, he would have acted on his impulse but not with Nari.
