By 6pm of 26th December, the winter home was already filled to the brim by the boys and their families.
Jisung rested on a wall in Seungmin's room, watching him hang his clothes in the huge closet.
"What?. Got something to say?", Seungmin hated the boy being a bug in his hair on the very first day.
"Yeah, obviously. It's about you, Ari and Chaery. We are all together here with our parents and words gets to me that neither of you can even stand the sight of the other"
"Are you sure about that?", Seungmin asked with a chuckle. He picked a blue button down shirt and paused at it. That was the shirt Daya wore the night after his birthday. He kept it to the side.
"You have to act like everything is alright so they don't get suspicious, okay?"
"Fine, Jisung", Seungmin wanted him out of his space already.
Jisung smiled, walking out of the room. He shut the door after him. The hallway was luminously lit. It stretched out with rooms facing each other. The door opposite Seungmin's opened and behold, Ari got it. Jisung couldn't contain his groan. Seungmin might explode earlier than intended.
"I thought you always roomed down the hall?"
"Yeji unnie wanted to be faraway from Hyunjin. What?", Ari turned her phone off.
"Wow. Just wow. So, Seungmin stays in this room", Jisung jerked his thumb at the door behind him. "Do you care to change rooms?"
"No. Not at all. Thanks for the offer though. We will manage", Ari looked away from the door, housing the boy. It all started with this winter home. That Christmas year when she had just finished her first trimester as a middle-school senior, she saw something she shouldn't and drifted away from her then best person. She left Jisung, going down the plenty stairs.
Jisung stared between the two doors. He has his doubts about how their hatred grew but what can he do, other than to pray that things doesn't get nasty.

Damin gave Daya a parcel after dinner. Daya with high brows wondered what it was. She tore the wrapper gently, revealing a white outfit. "Eomma?", she called quietly.
"I don't know if that idea of only the bride being the one to wear white is still there but I like the thought of you in that cloth", Damin smiled.
Daya laughed tearily. Her mother just made her really happy. "Nari said Eunha isn't wearing white. I can wear it"
"What colour is she wearing?", Dayeon asked.
Daya pushed herself up from the floors, "Brown. Eunha has an affinity for lovely browns. Plus, she is with child"
Seolran tsked and Dayeon frowned. "Haemoni, the world is changing. Don't be so judgy", she chastised the older lady.
"When did my pumpkin grow up?", Damin mused and her daughters shared a knowing look. Their mother was so calm about a pregnancy out of wedlock?. Pigs must be flying.
Daya quietly tore the final wrapper. She expected a dress but was in for a surprise. It was a strapless tailored bodice blouse and its matching skirt that would stop at her ankles and a scarf. "Wow. I have only seen big ladies wear this design", Daya smiled to herself.
"It's lovely. How do you wear the scarf?", Seolran asked.
"You keep it on your neck so it goes down your back", Dayeon, the fashionista, informed. "Unnie, I really can't come with?"
"You can't", Damin replied in her stead. "Two of you can't leave for Seoul for a wedding. You have to help with the shop and you have work"
Daya pursed her lips and Dayeon nodded in assurance. She was sad she couldn't go but her mom was right. They both couldn't go. Besides, Nari wanted only Daya there for emotional support.

"What wedding, son?", Hyunjin's mother asked when he came to ask for permission to leave for a wedding.
"Uhm... a friend's brother's?", Hyunjin unsurely said. He knew his friends were hiding somewhere laughing.
Their mothers were all having an afternoon brunch and it took a lot of courage to come over. "Alright but you have to go with someone"
"Seungmin. I will go with him", Hyunjin opted for. Seungmin was really his best choice right now out of the guys.
Yunsol; Seungmin's mom, picked a soft crossiant. "Why him?. You should go with Chan or even Felix. Seungmin is a bad pick for occasions like these"
"Nah. I'm good. He agreed to come", Hyunjin insisted.
"Where is the venue?. It's not too far, is it?", Yeji's mom asked.
"Not at all", Hyunjin smiled brightly. "It's within the area"
"When is the wedding?", his mom asked.
"Tomorrow", Hyunjin's smile became tight-lipped. His mother frowned but the other women convinced her to let him go. He thanked them and basically speed-walked out of the glasshouse patio.
"When did I ever agree to any of the nonsense you just spewed out?", Seungmin attacked once Hyunjin was with them again.
"You guys never disappoint when it comes to eavesdropping", Hyunjin commented.
"We will take that as a compliment", Chan did finger guns at him. "I can't believe Nari invited you to her brother's wedding"
"Neither can I", Hyunjin shrugged.
"Really?. You invited yourself", Seungmin dissed. "You said you were around and would stop-by"
"The fuck", Jisung muttered. "You invited yourself?"
"It kind of happened. I need to be done with this bet. Haven't I dragged it out enough?", Hyunjin knew that question was something he dreaded to say aloud.
"Did you need a soothsayer?", Jeongin teased. "I almost thought you decided to settle"
Hyunjin scoffed, heart racing. "What, no", Seungmin spared him a glance.
"Alright. No one is settling soon. Chan hyung is enough on its own", Jisung inputed, hands raised above his head. He pointed at each boy. "Don't dare"
Minho brought his finger away from his face. "Jisung, really"
"I always knew you would be next, hyung", Changbin barked out a laugh and the boys had to scamper to safety at the loud sound.
"Changbin hyung, can you ever grow the fuck up?", Felix asked, pissed that he was the last person and he would likely be caught by one of the mothers.
He do kill Changbin if he gets caught.
