Slurp. Slurp. Slurp.

"Can you stop that?", Hyunjin snapped.

"Stop what?", Seungmin asked around his straw and slurp.

"I told you he is the most annoying prick ever", Yeji reminded, glaring at the boy sitting in their living room.

Seungmin's eyes rolled. He shook the plastic cup in his hold, making the ice cubes in his coffee clang against each other. "I thought you were so invested in that wack-ass show", he jutted his chin to the huge television screen.

Yeji didn't care to soften her glare. "I was", she snarked. "What are you doing here anyway?"

"Well, Hyunjin invited me over", Seungmin glanced at the boy who had black tresses now like him. "What did you call me over for anyway?"

Hyunjin looked at Yeji and she was already staring. She had refused his side of the house since she came back yesterday, from a ruined date with a new guy she just knew for like 24 hours?. "Aren't you going home?", he knew their fathers were inseparable twins and the houses were in the same gated compound but she should go home and throw her pity party.

"No. I'm not", Yeji tore open another pack of salted chips open.

"What's going on with her really?", Seungmin finally cared to ask, sensually putting his lips around his straw again.

"Her date was ruined", Hyunjin got up from the couch. "She went ahead to go on a date with a guy she knows literally nothing about. I warned you, girl"

Seungmin shook his head as they started a quarrel about who was in the wrong and not. Taking the state of the girl in, the boy grimaced. Yeji's fading orange hair was in a really messy bun with strands of hair sticking out in places, her slouchy black tee was falling off one of her shoulders in a very exposing way that her chest could almost be seen, her white shorts had blotches of brown from peanut butter stains and damn, all around her were empty cups of coffee, ramen and used wipes. How did Kim Seungmin not notice?.

"Were you into him that bad?". Yeji snapped her head to him so fast, his brows jumped. "Really?", Seungmin asked, very curious.

"I know you won't understand any of these"

"Obviously", he sassed.

Hyunjin scoffed, placing his hands on his hips. "You are not feeling sad about your date. You are just sad you can't get over Ryujin. Yeji, really"

Yeji crunched loudly on a chip, signalling the end of the conversation. She is always this way. Closing up at every convo that would lead to Shin Ryujin. Call it a coping mechanism.

"Hel-", a quick pause. "What are you doing here?"

Hyunjin and Seungmin turned to the entrance of the main house. Ari and Chaeryeong stood there with shopping bags clutched in their hands. Seungmin sighed, looking back at Hyunjin. Hyunjin in turn shook his head. He didn't know the girls would be coming over, or else he wouldn't have invited him.

"What's with the chill atmosphere?", Very cheerful Lia said, walking into the house. Yeji dramatically burst into tears at her best friend. Seungmin didn't even know what to do in such a chaotic house. He got on his feet as the girls hugged each other. The ice cubes in his coffee were all melted and the coffee was now tasteless. He gently placed it on the table, straightening his posture he kept his friend's gaze. The tall boys knew Seungmin's situation with Ari and Chaeryeong. None of them have even talked to the other since a while now. You know with the stalking stuff in school and them out to find which Daya he kissed during exams.

It was tense between the four of them. Hyunjin naturally, would always side with Seungmin. Forever, whenever.

"Do you want to come up to my room?", Hyunjin broke the silence- it wasn't exactly silent, thanks to Yeji and Lia's cries- "We had things to discuss anyway"
