Ari got slammed into the rows of lockers in the empty classroom. She coughed, shaking her hair out of her eyes. "You make things so exciting", she laughed, staring at the boy. "Who knew you do come after me the very next day?"
Seungmin glared down at her. "Let's cut to the chase. So what do you have?"
Ari stood straight, opening her palms. "Do you see that?. Nothing"
Seungmin grabbed her hair, pulling her head back. "Don't you get the situation, sweetheart?. We are alone in here. I could kill you, you know"
"Uhmm... there is a witness"
Both students turned to the window. Behind one of the desks, a girl slowly stood up. Ari laughed. "Dayeon?"
Seungmin rolled his eyes up, letting the girl go. Ari's laughter was pissing him off. He looked at Daya's sister. "Witness?. To what?"
Dayeon remembered him as the kind senior who gave her chocolates and a cookie. His expression right now wasn't really kind. "You killing her", she pointed her finger at each of them.
Ari chuckled. "Right. You heard that, didn't you?", and Dayeon nodded. Ari looked up at Seungmin. "Why aren't you saying anything?. Cat got your tongue now that Daya's sister is involved?"
"Shut the fuck up"
Ari tutted. "What?. She doesn't know?", her hair was back in Seungmin's grasp. "I said to shut the fuck up"
"Stop it!. Please!", Dayeon exclaimed, chest heaving up in fear. She was still a new student and she didn't want to be traumatised more than she already is.
Seungmin and Ari glared at each other. "Let's have this conversation somewhere else?", he let her hair go, pulling her out of the room by her wrist.
Dayeon breathed out in relief. "Yeah. Kill her somewhere else"
"Dayeon?"
"Whoa!!!", she screamed, jumping in place, her fists in the air.
Daya stopped her movements, hands up. "What's wrong?"
Dayeon almost cursed her out. "You just scared me into the I.C.U. That's what is wrong", she dropped back in her squat.
"Hey", Daya said softly, walking to the desks. "Hayun said you ran out of class after you got your test results"
"Leave, please. All I wanted was a quiet place to be alone", Dayeon said, wrapping her arms around her knees.
"I won't leave you alone", Daya stopped, watching the girl that was hiding behind the desk with a remorseful face. "I am sorry. I am really sorry", this was the first time she was talking to her since the fighting incident.
Dayeon looked up. Her bottom lip jutted out, quivering. "I'm sorry"
Daya squatted beside her. "For what?"
"I'm failing two classes. I failed Econ woefully and math", Dayeon blinked and a few tears went down her cheeks.
"Who said it would be easy, Dayeon-ah?", Daya spoke very softly. She patted her sister's head. "You were at home for a complete year after high-school. Failing just 2 classes, isn't it a big achievement?"
Dayeon's eyes closed. She shook her head, the tears slapped on her sister's jeans. "It's not. I could repeat this semester next year"
"It's just tests, Dayeon. You have the exams"
"It won't do much", Dayeon sobbed.
"Well... I'm failing classes too. A lot", Daya felt so good after saying that. Dayeon opened her eyes. Daya smiled. "We will make them up. Do you understand?"
