Jane gazes over towards Carmilla, it's a look she's never seen before, almost like she's feeling vulnerable. For the first time, Jane has the upper hand in the situation, and she couldn't figure out what to do with it. "Carmilla?" she carefully utters out. "Are you okay?" She asks, her voice so gentle, filled with concern for the once terrifying woman.

"Yeah, yeah" Carmilla forces a smile. "The food is here" she states as she quickly tries to change the topic. Jane notices her discomfort, stopping the questions as the waitress approaches with their food. Taking a big chance, Jane places her hand out slowly and puts it on Carmilla's tapping finger. Carmilla quickly grabs her hand away, clearing her throat as the waitress places their plates in front of them.

A suffocating silence forms as Jane tries to find something to say, her entrée smoking in between them. "I didn't mean to bring up anything" she apologizes gently, realizing she might have put her foot in it.

"You didn't" Carmilla lies. She hates this feeling, having let herself get caught being upset. Why does Jane have this power over her? A sole tear drops down Carmilla's cheek unwillingly before she quickly wipes it away, hoping, praying, that Jane didn't see it.

Jane's head tilts, 'is she crying?' she asks herself in denial, she cant be, not Carmilla. "Carmilla, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to up-" her words get disrupted by Carmilla standing up harshly, pulling her gun off the table before tucking it away rapidly.

"I'm going to the restroom," Carmilla states coldly before her steps tread as fast as they can. If she could run, she would. She  leaves behind a bewildered Jane frozen in her seat, confused by what the fuck has just happened.

Genevieve stands up and chases after her sister, everyone in disbelief at what's happening. "Carmilla?" Genevieve calls out as she knocks gently on the locked bathroom door.

"I'm good!" Carmilla shouts out, too embarrassed for anyone to see her like this. Usually Carmilla can hold it in until she's in private, but to lose her cool like that in public? It was just simply humiliating. "Finish your food and take her home" Carmilla orders, composing herself to make her voice sound less trembly.

Genevieve ponders for a moment, knowing exactly what a lash out like this means. "Okay, just please don't do anything stupid" she sighs, waiting for a response.

"Just please go. I don't want to talk, Genevieve" Carmilla responds loud enough for Jane to hear as the latter walks up to the bathroom to see what's going on.

"Is she okay?" Jane whispers to Genevieve, concern lacing her in her words.

"Yeah, let's just go" Genevieve urges as she steps back from the door, knowing there's nothing she can say or do to make Carmilla come out. Jane stays still for a brief moment, hoping that maybe she'll come out and everything can go back to how it was. "Let's finish our food, I'll drive you home." Genevieve comforts.

Jane breathes in deeply, guilt in her chest. 'I caused this, I didn't mean to upset her' Jane thinks to herself as she walks away.

Carmilla's face reflects in the mirror, staring at herself as uncontrollable tears roll down her cheek. Her breathing shallow, a numbness all over her body as her cry turns into a silent sob. She admires her breathlessness, an exasperated smile creeping in. People like me don't cry. She quickly wipes her tears away, preparing herself to leave as splashes some cold water on her face, cooling the redness on her cheeks.

Carmilla tries to shake away what's just happened as she heads to the bar, frustrated by having ruined the first time they actually had a chance to get to know the other. "My usual" she orders the bartender, taking a seat on the bar stool as a blonde woman sitting across from Carmilla catches her attention. Her hair is almost as silky as Jane. Almost. Her eyes wander to her tan legs, her mini skirt revealing just enough to separate her from the other women at the bar. Carmilla lights her cigarette as she signals for the man serving the drinks to come over. "Her drinks are on me" she points over at the oblivious woman. He nods with a little smile and walks over to the mysterious woman, tapping on her bare shoulder to get her attention gently. Her attention shifts to Carmilla after the bartender whispers to her, his finger pointed at the intrigued Carmilla. Carmilla winks at her as she raises her glass, making the woman get up and walk over to her.

"Do you usually pay for people's drinks without even knowing their name?" she teases.

"I don't need to know your name," Carmilla says as she undresses her with her eyes, admiring the curves. "Your room number will be enough" she lures the nameless woman.

The woman laughs, making Carmilla cringe internally. What is she doing? "I'm in room 304" she answers seductively, her eyes glued to Carmilla's lips.

"Hm, that room has a good view" Carmilla comments as she inhales her cigarette. "Wanna give me a tour?" She suggests. Carmilla smirks as she gets up, slyly wrapping her hand around the lady's lower waist.

"I'd love to," she responds impatiently.

Carmilla looks down at the woman, her mind filled with so many other things. But tonight, she needs a distraction. Preferably one that looks like Jane.
