"By the window, Wilma." Mom told Rory.

"Got it, Gertie." She replied.

"How about that coffee?" Kirk asked.

"It's fine, Luke. I got it." I smiled, walking past Luke who stood by the counter. I grabbed the pot before moving over to Kirk.

"You are a very impatient person." I mumbled, smiling. "Mine's a quarter caff." He told me, stopping me from pouring it.

"Too freaking bad, Ross." I smacked his hand away. "Deal with it." He sighed, but stayed quiet.

"I'm sorry about this," Luke told mom and I. "I sometimes forget the worlds filled with people who micromanage their lives to the point where they can't wait an extra second for anything."

"It's okay, don't worry." Mom told him. "Yeah, we thrive in chaos." I added on.

"Also, where the heck is Jess?" I asked, sliding a plate over to someone. "I know he's not at school."

"I don't know, upstairs probably." He responded.

I sighed, "well then, excuse me."

I quickly made my way upstairs, knocking rapidly on the door. After a moment, the door opened. Jess stood there, shirtless.

Holy craperoni.

"Now, what if I was an elderly woman dying of a heart attack as we speak?" I asked, my eyebrows raised. He smirked, "she would live her final moments with no regrets."

"Hm, very funny." I smiled, walking inside and grabbing a random shirt. "Put it on," I pressed it against his chest. "Luke needs you downstairs. Now."

"Why?" He asked, pulling the shirt over his head.

"Why?" I spun around to him. "Because, he's on the phone, the place is packed, and he needs help. Please?"

He went to talk, but I stopped him, grabbing his arm. "Nope. This is nonegotiable."

He objected, but let me drag him around.

After we reached the bottom of the stairs, I shoved him forward, keeping my hands light enough to make sure he didn't get hurt.

"You're very graceful." I heard my mom say.

"She pushed me." He defended. I gasped, "I would never."

"I could've broken my neck!" He scoffed, following me around.

"And saved everyone a bunch of cruel and unnecessary sarcastic jokes? Oh, how sad of a world it would be." I pouted, handing him a plate. I moved behind him, pushing him forward again.

"Tyrant," he mumbled.

I smiled, "degenerate."

"Andrew, hi." I smiled, pouring him some more coffee.

"Hello sweetheart, I haven't seen you in awhile? My entertainment has been very scarce." He replied. "I'm so sorry, I've been really busy. I promise I'll come by later, though."

"That my girl." He pat my hand, giving me a warm smile.

I moved to another table, passing Rory who was dealing with Taylor's nonsense. "Good luck," I teased, earning an eye roll. I walked back behind the counter, switching out coffee pots. I poured some more for myself, quickly drinking as much as I could.

"Hey, Sage, is your mom here?" I turned around, seeing Jackson.

"Yeah, she's upstairs." I replied. "Could you ask her to meet me outside? I need to talk to her." He asked. I nodded, asking Rory to take over before I went upstairs.

"Hey, mom?" I asked. "Sorry, Jackson's outside. He wants to talk to you, and he seems upset."

"Hm, alright." She nodded, looking back at Luke. "You okay?"

"Yeah, thanks." He said.

"You might wanna study up on that diner talk." Mom teased, walking out.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I crossed my arms, walking up to Luke. "Yeah, kid. I'm fine, don't worry about me." He smiled.

"Where's Jess?" I said, for what felt like the fiftieth time today.

"Probably out playing basketball." He replied.

I groaned, "that wet sock."

"More diner talk?" Luke asked, weary. I looked at him. "I certainly hope not." He tilted his head to the side, agreeing.

"You know, as utterly fun as it is bossing you around constantly, I am getting really sick of doing this." I said, pulling Jess by the arm back to the diner.

"Damn princess, didn't know you were into that—"

"Oh shut up." I rolled my eyes, passing my mom and Jackson.

"What in the—" I heard her mutter before I shoved Jess inside.

I glared at him, a teasing smile on his lips. "I hate you," I muttered. "No, you don't."

No, I really don't.
