Jason's POV

I don't know where Jester is. I know he left on a plane out of Gotham, but he wouldn't be dumb enough to go simply from point A to point B. He would have made several detours. He would have probably even traveled incognito. But I did know who put him on that plane out of Gotham. The Penguin.

So I make a little visit to the Penguin. I catch him early in the morning, hoping he's been to sleep at all and is somewhat sober so I can better scare the shit out of him. Me and the clowns quietly make our way into his home. We subdue his guards with knock out gas. So they give us no trouble.

I find the Penguin sleeping soundly in his bed. So I quietly and softly slither up into the bed next to him. One thing about criminals you have to remember is, they're light sleepers. The lifestyle sort of engrains it into you. So the movement of the bed rouses him, but not completely. He rolls over to face me and snuggles into me a bit. "Edward," he mumbles.

I don't know if he's talking about the Riddler or his fucking dog, but something about the snuggle tells me it's the Riddler. Which irks me out a little. Maybe I'm a bit homophobic? "No, it's not Riddles," I frown, to which Penguin's eyes pop open.

He sits up in an instant with puffy morning eyes, "Jason?!"

"What have I told you about calling me that?" I ask rolling my eyes and leaning back into his headboard

"What have I told you about calling me that?" I ask rolling my eyes and leaning back into his headboard.

"What the fuck are you doing in my bed?!?!" His voice cracks.

"I wanted to catch you bright and early before you could get loaded. You really should give that shit up Oswald, you'd be much more proficient without it. Lately you've been falling off. There's some things we must discuss," I say as I fold my hands across my stomach. The Penguin looked terrified. Which he should be of me. But right now I need him to relax a bit. "Calm down, lean back," I instruct him to sit as I do, leaned against his bed.

"What would you like to discuss at eight o'clock in the morning?" He asks and settles in beside me.

"I know you helped Jester and Julia escape the country," I deadpan.

"Yeah, so?" Oswald shrugs, "They're trying to lay low for a while."

"But why was this information not ran by me, hum?" I ask as my shaved brow cocks.

Oswald's mouth falls open, "Well I thought you sent them to me!"
