Did you know that Tennessee Williams wrote the play, "A Streetcar Named Desire" in 1947? Yeah, probably not. Since you didn't know, you have no clue that in it two sisters come from this perfectly picturesque plantation in Mississippi. And the name of the plantation was Belle Reve. In Cajun French that translates into "Beautiful Dream". Did you hear what I said? A beautiful dream? Not the fucking Belle Reve I'm stuck in. However, this Belle Reve is built on the land of a former plantation, deep in the swamps of Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Apparently terrebonne is French for "good earth", but really, who the fuck puts a plantation in a swamp?
