Harley sat holding the Joker's hand as her eyes kept glancing at the monitors. The Joker's body temperature had been 98.6° for the last three days, and he had yet to wake up. "Jake, why ain't he awake yet?" She can't help but ask.
"He still has a good amount of swelling in his brain. When it goes down he should wake up,"

Jake explains. "I gave him some very strong anti-inflammatories. They should help."
Harley nods with a small smile on her face. "I'm so nervous an scared. I want him ta wake up, but I'm scared ta tell him everything I gotta tell him."
Jake sits in a chair on the opposite side of J's bed. He knew it would be rude to ask about whatever it was she had to tell J. He assumes it's about their little brother. He knew about Jason posing as J and doing everything wrong. Naturally he doesn't know the extent of it. He doesn't really feel as though he should ask.
Harley and Jake sit in silence for a while. Both of them just stare at the Joker and listen to the machine beep every time J's heart beats. Jake wonders how people love him in spite of his wrong doings? What did he do right that obviously makes them love him? Jake realizes that he doesn't really know anything about his brother except what he read in police files and bullshit psychiatric files. Those things didn't answer any of his questions about the man.
"Harley," he says softly, his eyes never leaving J.
"Hum?" She acknowledges, her eyes never leaving J either.
"Tell me about him. What's he like?

Not this Joker character in the headlines. I know that can't be who he is. Too many people love him for that person to be the real him," Jake softly speaks, as if he was trying to be quiet so he didn't disturb J.
"He's a business man Jake. Insteada runnin a Fortune 500 empire, he controls a crime empire," Harley begins. "But of course, it didn't start out that way. It started as a act a unconditional love. An as it usually goes, tha love had conditions aftah all. It broke his heart. In a matter a minutes his entire world started unravellin. An with it, his mind. That's when Jack split in half an tha Joker wuz born. An in tha end, tha only thing left was a disfigurement an a criminal organization."
