He reads across the yellow paint on it that read, "Jokes on you Batman".

Boy, was it. Jason, his half brother, wasn't dead. He was alive and well. But Bruce didn't know how much longer he would be alive or well. Bruce knew J would be out for him, and considering what Jason had done to Harley, he'd probably kill him. But Bruce couldn't let that happen. He had to save Jason before J could get to him. Somehow. Some way.

So far, the Joker wasn't fully recovered yet. Thankfully, for Jason's sake. But the Joker most definitely wouldn't stay down for long. His sheer will alone was greater than the average persons. Which meant that he pretty much always accomplished what he set his mind to. He would get better. He'd fully recover, and Bruce knew it. When he was recovered he would want his identity back. That is, if Jason doesn't destroy everything that the Joker had built. Bruce couldn't rule that out. His Batman side nagged at him about letting the Joker revert to his old ways.

Jason wasn't ready for the power he now had as the Joker. He had abused it in terrible ways. He had used it foolishly and selfishly. But then, what twenty one year old male wouldn't? And don't say the Joker. J is one in a billion. Bruce knew Jason's anger was still following him in his new identity. So was his impulsiveness. And those two things, in combination with the Joker's power, were a recipe for disaster. And none of the players in this saga would be unscathed.

"Master Bruce," came Alfred's voice. But he doesn't sway Bruce's thoughts.
