Finding You Part 8, Chapter 5 ~
At Skye's Office ~ Skye was in her office, standing up to pour herself some coffee when Lorenzo entered. "I'm surprised you're up this early. Didn't Ric keep you up all night?" Lorenzo asked. "How dare you! It's none of your business what happened between Ric and me," Skye said. Lorenzo approached Skye. "Yes, it is my business. We are still married. You're my wife. Skye, come back to me. I know you love me," Lorenzo said as he brushed her hair. "Lorenzo, I need time. I need to focus on my company projects," Skye said. "I have always supported your career," Lorenzo said. "I know you have," Skye replied. "You don't love Ric or want to be with him. You're just using him to make me jealous," Lorenzo said. "Is it working?" Skye asked. Lorenzo pulled Skye into a passionate kiss. "What do you think?" Lorenzo asked. "Oh, Lorenzo, please just give me some time," Skye pleaded. "How much time do you need?" Lorenzo asked. "I don't know," Skye replied. Lorenzo kissed Skye again just as Kendall entered. "Sorry," Kendall said. "It's okay, Lorenzo was just leaving," Skye assured her. Lorenzo touched Skye's hair. "Who are you?" Lorenzo asked. "This is Kendall Hart-Slater. We're doing business together," Skye explained. "Oh, nice to meet you. I'm Skye's husband, Lorenzo Alcazar," he said. "Nice to meet you," Kendall greeted. "Skye, I will see you later," Lorenzo said and then left. "Skye, are you okay?" Kendall asked. "Let's go get some breakfast and talk," Skye suggested. "Sure," Kendall agreed, and they left. At The Quartermaine Hotel—Ric and Molly were having breakfast. "So, what is going on between you and Skye?" Molly asked. "Nothing, why?" Ric inquired. "I heard you and Skye shared a dance at Lila Rae's wedding, then last night you both had a drink here," Molly said. "I'm trying to get back out there," Ric admitted. "Good, I'm glad," Molly said. "Thanks to you. What about you? How's school?" Ric asked. "Great," Molly replied as Skye and Kendall entered, and Ric looked at Skye. "Skye, who is that?" Kendall asked as they sat down. "An old friend," Skye responded. "Skye, are you okay?" Kendall asked. "Not really, Lorenzo and I are having problems. I left him," Skye said. "I'm sorry," Kendall said. "I still love him, but Lorenzo could never choose us and our children over his career," Skye explained. "That must be hard," Kendall commented. "Yes, it is. I hate not knowing what to do. I was never lucky in love until Lorenzo, but it has cost me a lot," Skye said. "I'm sure," Kendall replied. "So, are you and your husband happy here?" Skye asked. "Yes. I thought Zack did something I didn't like. Zack was at the other hotel, Metro Co., and made a decision to save it without asking me. I don't care for the owner, Carly," Kendall replied. "Be careful with Carly. She goes after any man," Skye warned. "I had a feeling about that. I want to trust Zack, I do, but I don't trust her," Kendall said. "Good. Don't," Skye advised. "I have a feeling we're both alike in many ways," Kendall noted. "Me too. I've never had a female friend, except my sister Anastasia, but long story—she's not really my sister. I could never trust females," Skye said. "Yes, it's hard," Kendall agreed. "Yes, it is," Skye echoed. "If you had to choose between Ric and Lorenzo, who would you pick?" Kendall asked. "Well, the good girl in me would choose Ric because he's a police commissioner, but the bad girl in me still—and always will—choose Lorenzo. I just need some time to find myself. All my children are gone now, moved on with their lives. It's time for me to do the same," Skye said. "Yes, it is. We sure are working on this deal," Kendall replied. Skye and Kendall raised a glass. "Here's to a beautiful friendship and a great business deal," Skye said. "Yes, I think I made a great choice coming here," Kendall agreed. "Me too," Skye concurred.
