Finding You Part 8, Chapter 35 — At Skye — Skye, Lorenzo, Skylar, Alan, Rae, Lila Rae, Morgan, Carman, Monica, AJ, and Tracy were there. "So Luis isn't coming?" Lila Rae asked. "No, he's mad at your sister," Skye said. "Where is Genevieve? Doesn't she know this is for her?" Lila Rae asked. "She's upstairs. Genevieve and Alexander fought today; it's finally over between them," Skye said. "No, I'm going to check on her," Skylar said and went upstairs.
Genevieve was in her room packing and looking at the ring on her finger when Skylar entered. "Genevieve, are you okay? I heard about what happened with you and Alexander this morning," Skylar asked. "I'm going to be fine. I have school to focus on and my career," Genevieve replied. "Genevieve," Skylar said. "Is everyone here?" Genevieve asked. "Yes," Skylar said, they went downstairs.
"Genevieve, it's good to see you finally," Tracy said. "You too, Aunt Tracy," Genevieve replied. "Who sent those gardenias?" Tracy asked. "Genevieve, they're from Alexander," Skye said. "Mother, I don't want them. You can keep them or put them on Anastasia's gravestone," Genevieve said. "What is going on?" Rae asked. "Alright, since everyone is here, I have some news that I'm okay with sharing. Alexander and I broke up," Genevieve said. "Oh, Genevieve, are you sure?" Alan asked. "Yes, I'm fine with it," Genevieve replied. "If that's what my daughter wants, we fully support her," Lorenzo said, which meant a lot to Genevieve, who looked at her father. "Thank you, Daddy," Genevieve said as her phone rang. "I have to take this," she added and left to answer her call. "Skye," Alan said. "I'm worried about Genevieve. She's just like me — pushes and tests the ones she loves," Skye said. "I know. You came around, and so will Genevieve," Alan replied. "I hope you're right," Skye said. "Is Ric coming?" Alan asked. "No, I just want my family here. I'm sure you hope I choose Ric," Skye said. "Yes, I do," Alan replied.
Genevieve returned, looking happy. "Genevieve, what was that about?" Skye asked. "Oh, Mother, that was a professor of mine. He picked me to be his intern at his law office," Genevieve explained. "That's great. Why don't we start eating?" Skye suggested as they sat down.
"So, what will you be doing — making coffee for him?" Lila Rae asked. "No, that's what his secretary is for. I'm there to learn. He's a great lawyer," Genevieve said. "Well, we hope it works out for you. I'm sure you'll be good at it," Skye added. "Thanks, Mother. I was hoping I'd get it," Genevieve said. "Just be careful," Lorenzo warned.
"Oh, God. He's not after my body. If you're worried, this professor is a lawyer for gay rights because he's gay," Genevieve said. "Oh," Lorenzo responded. "If he wasn't gay, I wouldn't let him put his hands on me. Thanks, everyone, but I need to go," Genevieve said. "Are you driving home?" Lila Rae asked. "No, I have a driver," Genevieve replied. "Genevieve, do you need anything?" Lorenzo asked. "No, Daddy," Genevieve said. "I've put you back in my will, so you can have your trust fund back," Lorenzo offered. "Daddy, I don't need it," Genevieve replied. "Let me do this," Lorenzo insisted. "Fine," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, I'm glad you came home," Skye said. "Thanks, Mother. Sorry about Anastasia," Genevieve said. "Me too," Skye replied, and they shared a hug.
"When will you be back?" Skylar asked. "In four months," Genevieve said. "Good. I still think you're making a mistake with Alexander, but I love you," Skylar said. "I do too," Genevieve replied, hugging her family. She then gathered her bags and went outside where the driver was waiting. "I will take your bags, miss," the driver said. "Thank you," Genevieve said. The driver took her bags, and Genevieve entered the limousine, fighting back tears.
Inside Skye's house, Skye was looking out the window and crying as Lorenzo held her. "Our little girl is going to be fine," Lorenzo said. "I hope so," Skye replied. "I'm sure she will," Lorenzo assured her. "Thanks for coming. I wish Luis would show up," Skye said. "Me too," Lorenzo replied.
