Finding You, Part 8, Chapter 34 — At Skye — The Next Morning — Skye was upset at the table with food. The whole family was coming over for brunch when there was a knock on the door. Skye opened it to find Alexander with gardenias. "Skye, I'm here to see our stubborn Genevieve," Alexander said. "Come in, I'm on your side with this," Skye said. "You always have been a fan of mine, thank you," Alexander said. "You're welcome. I hope you both work it out and stay for brunch," Skye said. "Thanks," Alexander replied. Genevieve came down wearing a yellow dress. "Mother, is the family here yet?" Genevieve asked. "No, but I am," Alexander said. "Why are you here, Cassadine? It's over," Genevieve asked. "We need to talk. I know you're upset with me. You only call me Cassadine when you're upset, but we need to talk," Alexander said. "No, we don't," Genevieve replied. "Genevieve, just listen. Alexander brought you some gardenias. You're a favorite flower," Skye said, then she left. "Genevieve, I'm sorry about taking the phone call when we were in the middle of making love. You were right to be mad at me," Alexander said. "You should be with someone who lives in Port Charles, wants to give you a child, and marry you," Genevieve said. "Well, I don't want to be with anyone else besides you. I love you, Goddess," Alexander replied, kissing her as Lorenzo entered. "What is going on?" Lorenzo asked as Genevieve pulled away from Alexander. "Daddy, why are you here?" Genevieve asked. "Your mother asked me to come for brunch," Lorenzo said as Skye came in. "Mother, you asked Daddy to come?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, Lorenzo, let's go to the sunroom and talk," Skye said. "We can stay here," Lorenzo said. "No," Skye replied, taking Lorenzo's hand, and they left. The Sunroom — Lorenzo and Skye entered. "Skye, why are you pushing Genevieve with Alexander? Genevieve should be with someone better," Lorenzo said. "Why do you hate Alexander with our daughter but are okay with Lila Rae with Morgan?" Skye asked. "I don't like Lila Rae with Morgan either. No man is good enough for our daughters," Lorenzo said. "Oh, Lorenzo, Alexander brings out the best in Genevieve. They're good for each other. I'm sorry about Genevieve being alone," Skye said. "Genevieve has always liked being alone," Lorenzo said. "Yes, she has," Skye agreed. In the living room — "Genevieve, what is going on with you?" Alexander asked. "I just miss you. And then when I came back, it was like you weren't here for me," Genevieve said. "I'm sorry. We're both busy. We can't let it come between us. I know you still love me," Alexander said, pulling Genevieve toward him. "Don't! Just leave me, Cassadine! Let me go!" Genevieve yelled as Lorenzo ran in with Skye beside him. "Lorenzo, get Alexander away! Leave my daughter alone!" Lorenzo yelled. Skye took Genevieve into her arms. "Lorenzo, let him go," Skye said. "Genevieve, is this what you want?" Alexander asked as Lorenzo released him. "Yes," Genevieve replied. Alexander approached Genevieve.
"I know you don't want this, but I will not beg for you. You will regret it," Alexander said, touching Genevieve's hair and heading for the door. "Cassadine," Genevieve called.
"Yes," Alexander answered, touched to see Genevieve. "What about Princess?" Genevieve asked. "You can have her. I brought her for you—to make you happy. Remember that day?" Alexander replied. "Yes, I do," Genevieve said. Alexander left. "Oh, Genevieve," Skye said. "Don't, Mother. Thank you. Daddy, I'm going to freshen up before everyone gets here," Genevieve said. "You can find someone better," Lorenzo said. "Yeah," Genevieve replied and went upstairs.
