Finding You, Part 8, Chapter 20
At the police station, Kristin, Skye, and Alexis entered. "What is going on?" Ric asked. "I'm here to confess to hitting my granddaughter, Anastasia," Kristin said. "Alright, let's go and talk," Ric replied. "Mother, I will get you a lawyer," Alexis offered. "Don't, I will be fine," Kristin responded. "You need a lawyer," Alexis insisted. "Alexis, I will find one," Kristin said, then she went with Ric. "Are you having doubts? Do you want to tell the truth?" Skye asked. "I don't know, I just hate all this," Alexis said. "I know, I hate it too," Skye agreed. "What would Anastasia want us to do?" Alexis asked. "She would want us to forgive and move on," Skye replied. "You're right," Alexis agreed.
Ric and Kristin were talking. "I was driving so fast, and I hit Anastasia's car," Kristin admitted. "Were you drinking?" Ric inquired. "No, I was crying and couldn't see the car in front of me," Kristin explained as Skye and Alexis entered. "What are you doing here?" Ric asked. "Can we talk?" Alexis requested. "Sure, I will be right back," Ric said, then he went to talk with Alexis. "Ric, can you do me a favor and close the case?" Alexis asked. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Ric questioned. "Yes, I can't put Kristin in jail," Alexis replied as Stefan approached. "I heard you arrested Kristin—good," Stefan commented. "Stefan, we are close to solving the case," Ric said and left. "Alexis, what is going on?" Stefan asked. "I can't do this. Skye and I agree to let it go. I can't put my mother behind bars, especially when it was me," Alexis admitted. Stefan hugged her. "I know you couldn't do this. But can you live with it?" Stefan asked. "I'm going to try," Alexis said. "I'm here for you," Stefan assured her. "You always are," Alexis responded. "We only had each other growing up," Stefan said. "You helped me through all that too," Alexis added.
Kristin and Skye were talking. "Skye, can you let the past hurt go?" Kristin asked. "I have to. If I want my daughter Genevieve to do the same with her father, I need to set an example," Skye explained. "You're a great mother, Skye," Kristin said. "Thank you. I wish you were a great mother to me," Skye responded. "So do I," Kristin agreed as Ric entered. "We are close to solving the case," Ric announced. "Really?" Kristin asked. "Yes, it's time for me to close it," Ric said. "Thank you," Skye said. "You're welcome," Ric replied. Kristin left. "Skye, do you want to meet for dinner tonight?" Ric inquired. "I would love to, but I'm having dinner with Lila Rae tonight," Skye responded. "Alright, maybe another time," Ric said. "Yes, thank you for this," Skye said. "You're welcome," Ric replied. They shared a kiss.
"Alexis, are you sure about this?" Kristin asked. "Yes, it's time to let the past go," Alexis replied.
