Finding You Part 8, Chapter 6 -
At the Quartermaine Hotel - Alexis and Anastasia entered and went to a table. Anastasia waved at Skye, who was still there with Kendall.
"Anastasia, how is the hospital working?" Alexis asked.
"It's great; I like working there," Anastasia replied.
"I'm glad you like it and that we're staying here," Alexis said.
"Me too," Anastasia responded.
"How are you doing with what I told you?" Alexis asked.
"I'm handling it fine," Anastasia answered.
"Good," Alexis said as Skye sat beside Kendall and watched them.
"Is everything okay?" Kendall asked.
"The young girl over there is Anastasia. We grew up thinking we were sisters, but it turns out to be a lie—that the woman with her is her mother. I'm sorry about Anastasia; she just had to deal with the hard truth about how she was conceived. I've been trying to get Anastasia to open up to me like she used to," Skye explained.
"Do you mean she is a child of rape?" Kendall asked.
"Yes. Please don't say anything to make it worse—his Alexis's brother," Skye said.
"I will not. I know how she feels. That's how I was conceived," Kendall said.
"I'm sorry. Was it hard to deal with?" Skye asked.
"Yes. If you want, I can talk to her," Kendall offered.
"Let me tell Anastasia about you, if that's okay?" Skye asked.
"Sure," Kendall replied.
"Anastasia is a smart woman; she is a plastic surgeon," Skye said.
"That's great," Kendall responded.
Alexis and Anastasia sat at a table.
"Anastasia, if you want to talk to me about anything," Alexis said.
"Thanks, but I'm fine," Anastasia responded.
"Good. I'm glad you're staying in town," Alexis said.
"Me too," Anastasia agreed as Skye and Kendall approached.
"Alexis, Anastasia, I want you to meet Kendall Hart-Slater. We are business partners and friends," Skye said.
"Nice to meet you," Anastasia greeted.
"You too," Kendall replied.
"Anastasia, I'd like to talk to you later," Skye said.
"Sure," Anastasia agreed.
Skye and Kendall left.
"Anastasia, are things okay between you and Skye?" Alexis asked.
"Yes. It just feels different now that we're not sisters anymore," Anastasia responded.
"You're still sisters," Alexis reassured.
"Thanks," Anastasia said.
At the docks, Alexander was walking when he ran into Josslyn.
"So, Alexander, how are you doing now that Genevieve is at school?" Josslyn asked, wrapping her arms around him.
"I'm fine," Alexander said.
"Don't you miss her? Thought you could do better," Josslyn said as Skye and Kendall arrived.
"What the hell is going on here?" Skye asked.
"It's nothing, Skye," Alexander said.
"It's better—my daughter loves you," Skye said.
"I know, Skye, and I love her too," Alexander replied.
"You better be faithful while Genevieve is at school," Skye warned.
"I'm going. I have to go," Alexander said and left.
"Josslyn, if you ever touch Alexander again, I swear—you are just like your mother," Skye said.
"Thanks," Josslyn responded.
"I didn't mean it as a complaint. Now find someone else to go after," Skye added.
"I will," Josslyn said before walking away.
"That was something," Kendall commented.
"Yes, it was," Skye agreed as her phone rang—it was Genevieve.
"Genevieve, darling, how's it going? I can't wait to see you," Skye said, then hung up.
"You look happy," Kendall observed.
"I'm—" Skye started to say, but the text cuts off here.
