Finding you part 8, chapter 21 ~ At Skye ~ Genevieve was in the guest room getting ready for her dinner with Lorenzo when Lila Rae came in. "Lila Rae, how was your honeymoon?" Genevieve asked. "It was great. Mother told me you were staying here, so you're getting close to Mother," Lila Rae said. "I'm trying, which I'm sure you are hating. You want to keep Mother for yourself," Genevieve said. "It's not true," Lila Rae said. "Yes, it is. You love being Mother's favorite child," Genevieve said. "Mother doesn't have a favorite," Lila Rae said. "Yes, she does," Genevieve replied as Skye came in. "No, I don't. I love all my children the same. Girls, can't you try to get along? I miss Anastasia growing up. We used to be so close; I was her big sister, and I kept her safe," Skye said. "I don't need her," Genevieve said. "I don't either," Lila Rae added. "One day I won't be here, and you both will need each other," Skye said. "Mother, are we sure to get ready for dinner?" Lila Rae asked. "Yes, I need to get ready to have dinner with Daddy," Genevieve said. "You're having dinner with Daddy, while we go and join you," Lila Rae said. "Lila Rae, your sister and father need some time alone," Skye said. "I guess," Lila Rae replied. "Yes, this dinner will surely be fun," Genevieve said, checking her phone. "You're hoping that Lorenzo will cancel, aren't you?" Skye asked. "Yes, Mother," Genevieve confirmed. "Just try, please. We're still a family, and we all need to heal from this. Besides, no matter how you wish, he is your father—the only one you have," Skye said. "Are you sure he's my father?" Genevieve asked. "Yes, I am. You have his eyes," Skye replied. "I will try. Are you seeing Ric later?" Genevieve asked. "Why would Mother see Ric?" Lila Rae asked. "Genevieve," Skye said. "Mother and Ric are a couple now," Genevieve explained. "Mother," Lila Rae said. "Oh, Genevieve, Lila Rae, I will always love your father, but I'm trying to move on with Ric," Skye said. "Mother, I just want you to be happy. I wish it was with Daddy, though I know you still—and always will—love him. He's not perfect, but none of us are," Lila Rae said. "So, you forgive him? It's his fault that you lost the baby," Genevieve asked. "I know, but on my honeymoon, Morgan and I talked about it, and we healed together. I will never forget my son, but it's time to move on. We are hopeful to get pregnant soon," Lila Rae said. "I'm glad," Skye replied. "Whatever, if it were me, I would never forgive," Genevieve said. "We know. Let's go and let you get ready," Skye replied. Skye and Lila Rae left. Genevieve picked up a picture of her and Alexander. "Alexander, I'm worried about us," Genevieve said. Skye and Lila Rae were having tea. "Mother, do you think it's a good idea for Genevieve and Daddy to be alone?" Lila Rae asked. "Yes, they both need to be alone and work things out. Are you okay with me being with Ric?" Skye asked. "Not really, but I will support you," Lila Rae said. "Thank you, baby," Skye replied. "I'm sorry about Anastasia," Lila Rae said. "Thanks, I miss her so much," Skye said as the doorbell rang. Skye answered the door—it was Lorenzo. "Skye, Lila Rae, you're home," Lorenzo said, approaching Lila Rae. "Yes, Daddy. Morgan and I talk, and we want to heal from our loss. I've let it go. I will always miss my son, but it's time to move on," Lila Rae said. "Thank you, baby girl. I will never forget that," Lorenzo said. "I know. I'm glad you and Genevieve are trying," Lila Rae said. "Yes, me too," Lorenzo agreed. "I'll go get Genevieve," Skye said and went upstairs. "Daddy, do you still miss and love Mother?" Lila Rae asked. "Yes, always," Lorenzo answered. "Then fight for Mother. She's with Ric, but I'm sure it's just fun. Mother's heart belongs to you," Lila Rae said. "It's not that easy," Lorenzo replied. Genevieve's room—Genevieve was looking at herself in the mirror when Skye entered. "Genevieve, your father is here," Skye said, fixing her wrap. "Now I want you to try to be nice and just listen to your father. I know you still love him," Skye added. "Of course, I do love him. It's not that," Genevieve said. "I know," Skye replied. Skye then went downstairs. "Genevieve, you look great," Lorenzo said. "Thanks," Genevieve responded. "I thought we could go to a new Italian place," Lorenzo suggested. "Alright, I need to be home at eight," Genevieve said. "I know. Lila Rae, I will see you later. Skye, take care," Lorenzo said. "You too. Have a great time, both of you," Skye replied. Genevieve and Lorenzo left, and Skye leaned against the door. "Oh, please. Let them work it out," Skye whispered. At the Quartermaine Hotel—Kendall and Zack's room—"So, Skye went ahead and stole Carly's hotel," Kendall said. "Yes, I hope it works for her," Zack replied. "Do you regret not saving Carly's hotel?" Kendall asked. "No," Zack said. "Good. Zack, I've been thinking. We should stay here," Kendall said. "Yes, I want that too. Tomorrow, let's go look for a house," Zack responded. "Sure," Kendall agreed. "I'm glad we came here," Zack said. "Me too. I enjoy doing business with Skye. We are alike in so many ways," Kendall said. "Yes, you are," Zack replied.
