Finding You Part 8, Chapter 31 — "Can't We Be Friends"
At The Rose, Lorenzo and Carly were having a drink. "So Carly, what did Skye do? I know you're used to me getting to her," Lorenzo asked. "Skye stole my hotel and then kicked me out of it," Carly responded. "I'm sure Skye had a reason. Look, Carly, I'm not here to play games. I'm going to win Skye back," Lorenzo said. "You still love her, even though Skye is with Ric now?" Carly asked. "Yes, this is all my fault, and I will win my wife back. I'm sorry you lost your hotel, but you'll be fine. Carly, you're a survivor—you and Skye both are," Lorenzo replied. "I guess so. Did you leave the mob?" Carly inquired. "Yes, for my wife and children," Lorenzo answered. "Good for you. I hope this club is a hit—I mean it," Carly said, and she left.
Todd was alone by the bar when Skye approached. "Todd, you can't be okay with Blair working with Lorenzo. They share a past—he was the man she loved as Tomas," Skye said. "Blair and I will work it out," Todd replied. "Really? You trust her? Todd Manning trusts someone?" Skye asked. "Yes, I do—for the first time in my life," Todd said as Carly walked by. "You look familiar," Carly said. "You too," Todd responded. "Carly, what do you want?" Todd asked. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but Skye, Lorenzo loves you. Why are you playing games with Ric?" Carly asked. "It's none of your business who I'm with," Skye said. "I don't care either, but Lorenzo is a better man than Ric, and you know that. You still love him, or you wouldn't care that Blair works here," Carly said, then she left. "How dare she," Skye said. "She's right," Todd added.
Blair was in her dressing room warming up her voice when Skye entered. "What do you want?" Blair asked. "To ask you why you're here working with my husband—the man you thought was Tomas and fell in love with," Skye questioned. "I'm not here for Lorenzo or whoever he calls himself. I love Todd, and we want a new start—that's all," Blair responded. "Really? You try to start over here, and it didn't work out," Skye said. "I know. This has nothing to do with you. But if you've moved on from Lorenzo, then why are you so jealous?" Blair asked. "Lorenzo and I just need a break; that's all. We've been through a lot with our children and his choices," Skye explained. "I heard about what happened with your children, and I'm sorry. I get you want to keep your children safe. We're both mothers, but we also should be happy," Blair said. "I'm—" Skye started to say. "Well, I have to go now. Skye, I've been thinking—Max wasn't worth either of us, and we do have a lot in common," Blair said. "No, we don't," Skye replied. "Yes, we do," Blair insisted and went on stage.
