Finding You, Part 8, Chapter 18~
At The Metro, Co—Skye came in after picking up Lila Rae and Morgan from the airport. Carly also came in and stood beside her. "Why are you here, in my hotel?" Carly asked. "It's not your hotel anymore," Skye replied. "What are you talking about?" Carly asked as AJ walked over. "Skye, why did you want me to meet you here?" AJ asked. "Well, AJ, Carly has been embezzling money from this hotel, so I bought it, and I want you to run it, AJ," Skye said. "Oh, thank you, Skye," AJ said. "No way in hell!" Carly yelled. "There's nothing you can do about it, Carly. It's all here," Skye said as she handed Carly some paperwork. "What about Josslyn? How can you do this to her? Throw me out on the street," Carly yelled. "I'm not throwing you out on the street. You did this yourself, and Josslyn will be fine," Skye replied as Michael entered. "What's going on?" Michael asked. "Ask your Aunt Skye! She just sold my hotel," Carly said. "Michael, it's not like that. Your mother has been embezzling from this hotel, so I took it. Josslyn will be fine," Skye explained. "Skye, Jax loved this hotel," Carly said. "I know, that's why I'm saving it. You have until the end of the week to make it yours," Skye said. "Great, what will I do for money?" Carly asked. "Josslyn will be fine, I will make sure of that. After all, Jax put me in charge of her trust fund, which is a good thing," Skye answered. "How dare you!" Carly yelled. "Mother, just calm down," Michael said and went to talk to AJ and Skye alone.
"Aunt Skye, are you going to take my mother's hotel and job?" Michael asked. "I'm sorry, this is business," Skye replied. "Michael, your mother will be fine," AJ said. "I know, I just don't want my mother to go to jail for embezzlement," Michael said. "We will make sure she doesn't," AJ promised. "AJ," Skye said. "What, we have her hotel—that's enough," AJ replied. "Please, Aunt Skye," Michael asked. "Alright, I'm sure Alexis can fix it," Skye agreed. Michael left. "Skye, how are you doing?" AJ asked. "I'm trying. It's been hard, but it's fun to take this hotel from Carly," Skye said. "Yes, it is. I'll make it a hit," AJ said. "I know you will," Skye replied.
Carly was at the desk when Michael approached her. "Mother, I'm sorry, but you will get through this," Michael said. Carly touched Michael's face. "I just feel that I let Jax down," Carly said. "I know. Let's get you home," Michael said, and they left as Monica and Alan came in. "Why did you want us to meet you here?" Monica asked. "I have news. I just stole Carly's hotel, and AJ is going to run it," Skye said. "That's great. Son, I know you can do it," Alan said. "Thanks, Dad," AJ replied. "Yes, it was fun to take it from Carly. Now we need a name," Skye said. "Skye, how are you doing?" Alan asked. "Alright, Daddy. This helps," Skye said. "I'm sure it does," Monica said. "Yeah, you enjoy this," Alan said. "Yes, I did. Besides, Carly has been embezzling from the hotel, and she was going to demolish a hotel that Jax loved," Skye said. "Oh, I have a name," Skye added. "What?" AJ asked. "The Jax," Skye replied. "I love it," AJ said. "Me too. Jax would love it too," Monica said. "Thanks," Skye said. "Skye, do you still love him?" Alan asked. "Daddy, Jax is going. I just miss him," Skye replied. "I know," Alan said.
On the docks, Genevieve and Skylar sat drinking coffee. "Genevieve, just keep an open mind when you talk with Daddy tonight. I know it's hard, but he's our father," Skylar said. "I know. I do care for him, I just hate his work. I don't believe for a minute that Daddy left the mob," Genevieve said. "I want to believe it, but it's hard," Skylar said. "Yes, it is," Genevieve replied. "Are you and Alexander okay?" Skylar asked. "Alexander had to work," Genevieve said. "Oh, why don't we go shopping tomorrow?" Skylar asked. "Sure, I'm staying at mother's," Genevieve replied. "You are?" Skylar asked. "Yes, Mother asked me to," Genevieve said. "Genevieve, if you give your mother a chance, then you need to give Daddy one too," Skylar said. "It's not the same," Genevieve replied. "I know," Skylar said.
